Eight run fourth, and the Jays are still batting.
Not bad.

Marcum pitching tonight Vs Padilla, luckily the Rangers offense has been a joke of late.
Wildcard is not to far out just yet. Only 5 1/2 back of the White Sox who start a huge series tonight vs the Tigers. Division still much more realistic but 5 1/2 makes it at least possible.

Last night, bottom of 4th, 2 on and I see Chad Mottola strike out before I had to step outside to do a little yard work. I come back and it was still the F'ing bottom 4.
I wonder how the Rangers will rebound, or if that was all the Jays needed to break their Ranger curse (I had visions of Doc last year when Lilly took the comebacker off his foot).

When Shea Hillenbrand showed up to the Rogers Centre on Wednesday, he was as surprised as anyone to see he wasn't penciled into the starting lineup.

also from bluejayway
The toronto star ( www.thestar.ca) is reporting that Hillenbrand has given JP an ultimatum:
"Play me or trade me"
Apparently there was a players-only meeting tonight after bp.
He was furious when talking to the media.

"I love my teammates here, but I'm waiting to be traded," Hillenbrand said during a profanity-filled tirade. "I should have been traded two months ago."
Hillenbrand was upset that nobody in Toronto's front office congratulated him for adopting a baby girl last weekend. The Blue Jays' designated hitter left the team last Friday to be with his family and didn't return until Tuesday.

What a chump. You think he would be happy just being in a tight race and being a key member of that race.
You don't hear this junk from Greg Zaun who came into this season expecting to be a #1 catcher.
You don't hear this from Benji Molina who is sharing playing time.
You don't hear this from Cat or Reed Johnson
You don't hear ths from Eric Hinske who for the first time in his career isn't playing much.
What a chump.

sounds like an overreaction by Hillenbrand. Something that should have been discussed behind closed doors. If I'm Gibbons I keep him on the bench.

What a spoiled loser. Hopefully the Jays can get a good arm for him.
In good news the Jays are up 3-1 in the bottom of the 6th tonight. Hopefully the pen can hold this one

I agree, what a pile of garbage.
Jays give him 4 days off to go home to his wife and adopt a child, he comes back swinging when he isn't in the lineup right away. Bitches about playing time when he has the 5th most ABs on the team - aka a FULL TIME PLAYER.
The only thing that ****es me off is that he put his value in the toilet. The rumored deal was Hillenbrand for Joe Saunders (anahiem angels) an AAA starter with a 2.50 ERA ready to make the jump to the bigs. Now, we'll be lucky to get anything of value back for Hillenbrand.
Garbage. I hate him even more than I used to.
