Why do you have to be so civil. This thread was much more fun when it became polarized!
You're right though, it is a sight to behold. Especially during the anthem when they've got that orange glow going on. I'll sure as hell be wearing red, but I'll also happily be there with my girlfriend who will be proud as hell to wear her autographed white jersey as she screams at Zetterberg/Cheechoo/Gaborik for being a pansy.

none of them are real 'heros' to this organization, just people who played here. commodore had his fro in carolina too, but he won it all there, not here
if thats all you have, i suppose they are fine...but all are playing on teams competing in the playoffs with (against) us...its like having a roloson flames jersey...ewwwww.
as for oliwa, my only memories of him are that breakaway goal vs the oilers and him beating the crap out of people in 03-04, and knew how to get the crowd rolling at the dome.

OKAY OKAY!
I just drove my RED convertible full of naked hookers through a body shop and had them all sprayed and buffed red. Then we put food coloring in our blow, and bought a case of Rickard's (Red).

It's Sea of red.
A "C" of red would be the white jerseys which have a "C" of red on them.

The clothing policy at the Dome has changed actually... even staff are allowed to wear Flames gear. Guess what colour we'll be wearing? Red.

Wow, how are you all so anal about this? Don't wear Commodore? Are you serious? He was a fan favorite and was a key cog in the run in 04.

Yeah, the "don't wear this former players' jersey" stuf is a little overboard considering by Calgarypuck rules, you're allowed to wear an opposition teams' jersey if it's red, rather than a Flames white one.
I'm not too big on the idea of using a $5 T-shirt, but I guess if it's between that and a white jersey, you know what choice to make. Soe people might say "So you want me to buy a home Flames jersey? But then I wouldn't be able to make my rent this month". Well.......sometimes you have to make sacrifices to be a respected member of the C of red.

Pfft... if I'm at the dome I'll wear a red home jersey, but anywhere else I'm wearing my new RBK crested one.

Yeah, I was reffering to the dome in my post. I wear my new reebok away jersey elsewhere, because I never get a chance to wear it to the Dome.

I wore it to the dome for the last Cannots game that we came from behind in, and I was perfectly cool with it. Maybe people were wishing bad things upon me though...

Not during the regular season, I've definitly wore my white one on multiple occasions this year, but come playoffs, I always wear red.

A C of Red would be a seating arrangment where most people wear white jerseys, and people with red jersey's strategically sit in a flaming-C shape.

If no one else will do it..

So if it's better to wear a red Wings jersey over a white flames one. What if it's a Bertuzzi?
(I mean, if you can't wear a red Hamrlik flames jersey, is it better to wear your red Wings McCarthy jersey? )

Yeah, that was the one rule I didn't really understand either.
Red Wings jersey = okay
Flames home jersey with former player's name that is on the no list = wrong

I have to agree that it really doesn't matter if a former player is on your red Flames jersey. I might not be as enthusiastic about wearing a Simon jersey if we are playing the Wild, but it still isn't "wrong" in my books.
So many people want to get a player's name/number on their jersey, but then ask "what if he gets traded?" Now I see people with numbers on their jersey with no name- and that just simply looks dumb.
Wear your red, and wear it with pride.
