With virtually no centers in the pipeline, in about 1 year Conroy has acquired:
Reschny
Potter
Stockselius
King
Castagna
Curran
incredible work

OwNeRsHiP WoN't ReTaIn. Some people need to chill on believing the media sources.
Redemption trade for Conroy for me, didn't love the Weegar trade but like this one if that rumoured return is true

My expectations of the Flames rebuild << The actual Flames rebuild.
Couldn't be happier with Conroy and the job he's done, punctuated by this deal.
Go Flames go. It's gonna sting for a couple years but, boy oh boy, we're in for a wave of young talent the next few years!

And just like that, Conroy planted and grew a Shiney new baby trade tree.
Look at all those little branches .

Sometimes those conditions work upwards. Like the Vegas 2nd turns into a first if they win the cup (not gonna happen but whatevs).

I was pissed when we paid a 1st to get Monahan off our books and sign Kadri to a huge retirement contract. To get a 1st and a 2nd for him a few years later is absolutely a home run for me.

Chef's kiss.
Conroy now only has Huberdeau left-over from the "Summer of Brad".
2025/2026 General Manager Rating: A+.
Kept Coleman over Kadri. The absolute RIGHT move.

The 2028 first could be a good one.

Florida has also crashed and burned quite hard from all of the extra hockey the past couple years!

I admit I didn't have Olli Matta, Ryan Strome and Victor Olofsson being acquired by the Flames on my bingo card this year.

Flames traded away another pick? A 4th, no less? Damn their eyes, why won't they rebuild!

I’m guessing the conditions on the 2028 pick are probably something that keeps the protection on the 2027 pick they sent to Toronto.
