Boys against big fast strong men.
Vegas could win the cup if they show up against the Oilers in the playoffs.

That was the worst 6 on 5 sequence I've ever seen from an attacking team.
Veteran presence on the other side was very evident

When you lack elite offensive skill it's going to be tough sledding.
Going to be like this all year. Onto Utah.

Probably 2 guaranteed McKenna points tomorrow too with Cooley in.

Nobody on this team can win a faceoff when it matters.

Whoever said the team can compete without a real star is completely wrong
The team desperately needs a top pick

There isn't a Kirkland-equivalent for that skill?

I dunno, Parekh hasn’t looked good at all to me. Don’t think he’s ready, also not clear if he can play d with his style, at his size.
Anyway, let’s see the Ls pile up at this rate. Could be what many of us having been hoping for, with a high pick finally.

You can already tell the hockey God's are making up for all the insane crazy breaks they have the Flames last season

Considering how the last two games went, I’d have expected some urgency from the Flames with the game on the line in the third. There was none. Most of those players won’t even need a shower after this game.

I still think they should’ve challenged the goal. Ugly game. I’m looking forward to having JH back.

I don't want to see Miromanov play another game in a Flames jersey. Guy was doing his best to help his old team.

I am blaming whoever was comparing Parekh to Bobby Orr in the offseason. You jinxed him!

These are the early, early days for Parekh. He's going to be a beast, but he's still raw.

For a free wheeling undersized young small offensive defenceman like parekh confidence is everything.
It's going to be a tough year for the Flames if they think they can blood young skill players without a true tough guy in the lineup.
I know there is some debate about whether or not it was a dirty hit ans he was trying to hold the line but for me and I know I am old school someone on the flames should have hunted scissons down put a beating on him and sent a message to the league that if you even come close to a head shot on one of the young kids coming in you will lose a couple teeth
Expect more liberties with parekh in the future with this kind of team toughness approach

It's baffling to me how little some people seem to care about faceoffs. Having at least one guy who excels at faceoffs is one of the most important things to have on a team. Skating, playmaking and scoring all mean nothing if you don't have the puck.
What's the most efficient way to get the puck? Win the friggin faceoff. What's the single best way to get out of trouble when you're lined up deep in your own end? Win the friggin faceoff. What's the easiest way to gain the offensive zone and setup your formation with puck possession in under 5 seconds from the start of your power play? For the love of everything holy, win the friggin faceoff.
