I know he has his fans but his numbers over his past few seasons with the Flames were amongst the worst of all NHL goaltenders and today some fans are making it sound like the Flames lost a 1B goaltender or something. I understand he was a good guy in the locker room but the nicest thing I can say about him is that he was a barely serviceable NHL backup.

I heard him? Did you not read my post? Coach saw the firestorm coming and was protecting his goalies as they were both terrible.

This and in December Cooley was the top AHL goalie and Vladar was playing bad...things can change

Have you read or listened to anything that Cooley has said about his injury and the wrong way that he took to recover and come back playing?
Not saying that he is a good option, or even the better of the two options for backup goalie but there is a lot that went into his performance after the injury and the fact that he recognizes the errors and has had the offseason to get right mentally should negate the second half performance issues.
