This year's Stars are deeper should be able to beat the Grease Pigs, but I worry Otter turns into pumpkin like Kings goalie, and Knights goalie. At long as Otter doesn't let the likes of Perry and Henrique score two goals on him each game. He'll be ok.

DID you watch any of the games. They got significantly out played the entire series.
They are losers who quit against Edmonton and they don’t look much better. If they beat Edmonton I will change my tune. Having a younger deeper team and losing to the nursing home is shameful.

Oilers are a good team too.
They are rolling a good Vegas team right now and doing it without their top dman.
And it's not just Hill playing bad - Oilers have a 56% xGF against the Knights and are outscoring them 13-7 at 5v5.
If it ends up Dallas vs Edmonton then the Oilers have a pretty good chance at winning, whether you want to admit it or not.

Oiler would have a pretty good chance of losing in that scenario

Have an improved blue line too.
They're not relying on a half dead Tanev this year.

Seems like a low bar.
But these playoffs are showing what the hell do I know.
Oilers could dress Hanowski and he would put up a goal a game at this point.
Last year it was being like 59 for 60 or whatever on the PK. This year it's replacement level nobodies and washed up 40 year olds producing at even strength.

Have you watched any hockey in your life? You have been saying for 3 or 4 months now the Stars are a bad team...its an unbelievably stupid take as they coasted into the playoffs missing top players, beat the Avs, and are now up 3-1 on the presidents trophy winners.
You were WRONG and continue to double down, they are a very good team obviously. Does that gurantee a cup? no, but they have a shot its not a debate at all. Stars have had by far the hardest matchups so far and are 7-4.

I e told you plenty of times and posted in this thread they got dominated by Colorado.
They aren’t playing much better. They played like this during the regular season. They play slow plodding game and barely put pucks on net. Just like you want to call Washington frauds the same can be said for Dallas.
Now we suffer during another spring with they Oilers walking into the finals with a good shot at winning at all because the east is beating the crap out of each other.

I don't care about style points as long as they get the Ws. They could post a xCF of 20.0 and if they win I don't GAF.

In a series it matters.
We almost lost to them in game 7 after outshooting them like 68-25.
Eventually those goals don’t go in and the stupid Oilers are operating at a high rate xGF. Seems like it’s always some horseshoe
All those posts upset at Vegas not shelling Skinner well you will get that with Dallas as well. The best chance at beating Edmonton is destroying them in the possession game.

Washington beat the 91 point Habs and are DOWN 3-1 to the Canes
Dallas beat the Avs and are UP 3-1 on the Jets
Like are you even serious? Yes the Stars are a better team and are showing it

Stars have done all this to date without their franchise Dman. They can only get better from this point which should be terrifying for Winnipeg
They clearly are in the best position to beat Edmonton. Can no longer trust Hellebuyck with that weak glove hand. Oilers will pick him apart

Played tonight, had an assist...I'm sure it will take a bit of time to knock the rust off

Dallas comes up big when the game is on the line. Even if the flow of play has been against them. They make their chances count.
Edmonton pulls the same #### in a lot of games
LA dominated them for most of round 1, but they scored on their rushes between that cycle pressure by the kings.

Well they better get the job done and quick. If Edmonton wins I’m done. How does an organization that continues to hire criminals keep getting all this luck. Stan bowman hides sexual misconduct and makes his triumphant return and wins a cup.
People make mistakes and deserve 2nd chances the players and management the Oilers give a 2nd chance to are terrible humans who didn’t make a mistake but went out of their way to hide things and continue abuse.

Sure, the Stars are deeper.
They also got outplayed by the Avalanche overall, by a significant margin. They have been about even vs the Jets but their goalie is better.
They always fold against Edmonton though. Just watch, they will forget how to play hockey in a week. They are losers until proven otherwise. I trust Florida more if they can make it to defeat them.

*with Dallas missing their best dman and top scorer
Dallas outshot the Oilers 34-10 in game six last year...they certainly didn't fold they had all time bad luck. And a worse team IMO.
Anyway, not sure why every thread is about the Oilers. Stars are up 3-1 on the top team in the league...they can play.

I just hate that ” they fold against Oilers ” narrative. I can’t stand the Oilers, I don’t think i’ve ever watched an Oilers game, if it wasnt vs Flames, so I kind of trust the opinions in this Forum about the Oilers. ”They can’t play 5on5” ”its just McDavid and Draisaitl”, Yet when you look at the deep stats, they have like 3 lines in the top5 in these playoffs. How is that possible? Genuinely asking, I don’t care to watch them, I loathe them too much, but I always have my hopes up come playoffs time that they are pretenders, because everyone here says so, I’ve lost faith.

Against the Kings, the Kings were dominating them for stretches. Then blew a lead in game 3 and gave up for the rest of the series. They legit just quit trying.
The Knights just suck and should never have beaten the Wild. They stopped trying last game as well.
Teams legit just fold against them though, and they stop skating and trying to score. I don't know if they are intimidated by McDavid or what, but it is really annoying.
