Are the Rockets going to parachute in a completely new team next season when they host the Memorial Cup because the current team is godawful.

I was thinking the same thing while watching the game this afternoon.

I've said it a few times, it's going to be interesting to see how they turn that tire fire into an actual Memorial Cup caliber team.
I hope they fail in their attempt completely.
The CHL can go #### itself. Bunch of morons.

Med Hat, Calgary and Lethbridge all just continue to steam roll their way through the rest of the teams.
Lethbridge and Med Hat still aren't even whole yet, and they continue to win game after game. The Canes got Wormald and Braillard back and although Gustafson and Marques are still out, both are listed as day to day now.
The Tigers still missing Pickford and Woo on the back end, and Muhonen was also out tonight with an illness. They had two rookie Dmen and a forward playing D and still pummeled the Rebels 7-1.

With two weeks left in the regular season, PA has fired head coach Jeff Truitt.

Haha, interesting move.
They had high expectations this season, and after a slow start they were really rolling through the mid point of the season but since the TDL they have been sputtering a bit.

The Hitmen have tied the Tigers atop the Central Division and Calgary has a game in hand following their daytime win over the Oil Kings.

Canes locked up home ice advantage for round 1.
Quite the battle going on for 1st in the east and 2nd overall between Saskatoon, Brandon and PA. PA was sitting 2nd overall at the start of the week, now they sit 7th overall despite being only 1 point back of 2nd place Brandon. All three have had a turn in 1st place this week. Kudos to the Blades, they have not gone away despite selling at the TDL.

I missed this, but earlier in the week the Seattle/TC game was postponed after a fight where one player was knocked out and had to be stretchered off. Seems like a great idea to allow a bunch of teenagers to continue doing this doesn't it?

My son showed me the clip of this. Scary. I won't miss fighting if it ever does get banned.

Yeah, I won't post the clip, but it was a one punch knockout and then he fell down with his face striking the ice flush. The good news is that Goldsmith has been discharged from hospital and is now resting at home.
Kennewick, Wash. – Tri-City Americans defenceman Terrell Goldsmith has been discharged from hospital and is resting at home.
Goldsmith was taken to hospital Tuesday evening when he required medical attention following an on-ice altercation 1:05 into the second period of WHL Regular Season Game #690 between the Seattle Thunderbirds and Tri-City Americans.

What a game, wow. 4-1 Canes 1 minute into the 3rd, 4 straight Tiger goals in 7 minutes to take a 5-4 lead, Canes tie it with 5 minutes left, Tigers win in OT
I'd take 7 games of that, hopefully in the 3rd round.

Hitmen in Lethbridge on Saturday to take on the Hurricanes while the Rebels are in Medicine Hat to face the Tigers. This race for the Central Division crown is going down to the wire.

A 3 point game is not what the Hitmen would have wanted to see last night.
Tonight is a big game for both teams, for the Hitmen to keep pace with Medicine Hat and for the Canes, it might be an even bigger game. A Hitmen win in regulation would give them a 5 point lead with 2 games in hand.

I’m in Lethbridge tonight volunteering at a casino. Hotel rooms are $400? WTF? This ain’t Manhattan.
Some kind of hockey tourney and home expo is on.

So, the Tigers just now defeated the Rebels 7-3 and Gavin McKenna was in on every goal (3 goals and 4 assists). Pretty pretty pretty good.
