Pospisil barely contacts Hughes while trying to get out of the way... two different Canucks go after him for it... somehow it winds up 4 on 4.

It was supposed to take a 15-20 games to learn the system..heck Huberdeau had 4 or 5 good passes in one shift there!

Funny how NHL works. Flames > nucks, Oilers > flames, nucks > oilers.

The movement in the offensive zone makes everyone look better.

Even Huberdeau suddenly looks good again when people are moving and making quick passes instead of playing so static all the time.

I hate the tired excuse, it is WAY over used.
Especially in November

Players don't really mind back to backs at all. Team hates the travel cost but whatever

I, for one, am all in favour of this team (with its current players) not sucking anymore.

Back to back is an excuse

Flames were 6-2 in back to backs last season

I believe the Flames are probably a better team than their record would indicate, and I believe the Nucks probably aren’t quite as good as their record would indicate.

This game doesn’t shock me in isolation. It’s still the NHL and any one game can look like this. Let’s see if they can keep it going on Saturday

Two things can be true at once. I don't think the Canucks forgot how to skate entirely. They're almost stationary out there, you'd have to be completely blind not to see it. It absolutely looks like a tired team. That isn't an indictment on the Flames for taking advantage of them and blowing them out of the arena. And no, they didn't look tired in the first... that's usually how it works?

Ottawa game aside they've been decent since Nickelback performed that exorcism.

Huberdeau looks way better with Backlund than with Lindholm or Kadri. More of that please. And more Kadri-Zary-Pospisil, that’s the kind of snarl, energy, and determination I want to see.

Thought both teams were not great in their own zones. Petterson with two goals for the Flames!

Made the Canucks look like clowns that period.
I appreciate the effort!

Very upbeat team so far tonight. Been an awesome game to watch. Huberdeau had 2 shifts where he looked like his former self. Baby steps!
