Everyone says the preseason is too long, and it may very well be. But with eight games, one would think there’s ample time to build some kind of momentum toward the regular season.
Watching tonight’s near-roster, I can’t say they’ve done that. I have no idea what this team’s overall play structure and/or identity is...
Right now, it just looks like a collection of dudes skating around…
Really hope they tighten things up quickly in the early regular season…but given what we’ve seen, who even knows…?

What are you talking about? Markstrom let in the first shot so he's essentially in mid-season form.

After this game, I like Gilbert more than I like 82 and after watching the new 79 makes me miss the old 79.

I thought Solovyov has been sent down? Yeah, Oessy is brutal, not only he couldn't make one good pass, it's his awareness of his surrounding was brutal.

I can be as negative as anyone, but they are in the process of revamping their defensive system, as well as getting the creativity back offensively. It will take time, and there’s going to be growing pains….
