What a turnaround! Nunez will deservedly get the accolades, but Alisson was so vital in keeping this close.

TAA the happiest man on the pitch.

I don’t get why they made substitutions when they were owning Liverpool. Taking out Gordon and Isak was a dumb move.

If Barnes isn't selfish and squares it for Wilson it's 2-0 and they probably cruise. But even though that's a total gag job by Newcastle full credit to Liverpool for not giving up.

Left home at half; looks like I missed an epic 2nd half.

I really wish I had watched the second half.

Congrats to Liverpool.

Well, not even September and we're out of the League Cup on penalties. I have no idea why Sanchez was taking the third penalty, but the outcome wasn't exactly a surprise when he walked up.

looks like Amrabat to United will happen, thank god. Loan with option to buy.

Reguilon also in on loan, after the Cucurella thing fell through. He's cheap and a body to have on the bench I guess

Congratulations on bringing in our 4th choice LB though! (seems like he'll be back to us in January?)

I think he'll be Uniteds 4th choice LB as well. It's just that the first two options (Shaw and Malacia) are injured for a while, so yeah, they'll just need some depth until January. I'd expect Dalot to start over him.

Get 'Arry to start at LB! What could go wrong? He's got 'the pace.'

Reguilon is good, dumb by Spurs to get rid of him he is light years better than Davies or Sess and not a droop off from Udogie either.

Especially given the Rubiales stuff, I can't imagine that going down too well in Spain at the moment.

Brennan Johnson is a great signing

Not getting another cb was a huge mistake, Sanchez is 3rd choice now

4th choice is either dier who could not play a high line, or Ashley Phillips who is 18
