The Avs could be so much better if they were healthy. Kudo to the Kraken though, playing really well.
And no Kadri vs last years team.
Despite our frustration with him, that's a significant difference this year.

Burkoski, Kadri, Landeskog, Nichuskin all subtracted and Lars Eller and Evan Rodrigues in. That's missing a lot of horsepower up front. They're still good on the backend and Makar will be looking to atone for letting his team down. So they could still win this. But Seattle has no pressure and the Avalanche have not been great with their back to the wall.
I think they were expecting Landeskog back by February. It was surprising to me to hear that he was out for the entire season. He is a key player and their captain. That's a big loss.

Grubauer probably has the motivation to prove to the Avs that he can win in the playoffs and that they should have kept him around to win the Cup with him last year.

Kraken doing a great job honing in on Mackinnon and making his life frustrating. Enough bumping and subtle interference without getting penalties. He tends to throw tantrums when things aren’t going well as we’ve seen before. Helps that there is no makar so they double team mackinnon.
Should the kraken ever play the oilers in the POs you wonder if they could do that to mcdiver. Though with what we’ve seen in the oilers series I doubt the kraken don’t get called for anything related to contact on mcdiver.

So who's going to stop the Oilers now in the West?

Yeah good luck with that... they've looked like crap defensively.

I really noticed that Colorado had to lean on their top guys more this year than past years. MacKinnon, Rantanen, Makar are as good a core of 3 as their is. But they lost an entire good second line from Last years team and add in zNichuskin and now they are more like some previous Oiler teams up front than that of the recent dominant teams they've had.

As I said...They're still excellent on defence. But right now a two man show up front needing those guys to play 25 minutes. That won't last more than 2 rounds in playoff hockey.

The avs have 3 goals in 5 games from forwards not named mackinnon and rantanan. 4 if you include Nichushkin, but he is gone. That’s going to cause struggles.

That story sounds pretty bad. Definitely sounds like it could be touching on organized crime with trafficking and prostitution.

Where did he fly to from Seattle, and why did he leave in such a rush?

They are saying it’s not being investigated as criminal though? Weird situation.

Sad that shoddy officiating is once again deciding playoff outcomes.

Said it before, it benefits MacKinnon to complain as he's seeing it make a noticeable difference for McDavid.

Why wouldn't he do it at this point?

That said, the Kraken have 2 shots at knocking off the Avs and have already won twice in their building.

You're just like Ron MacLean, has to bring up Oilers every chance you have.
