To me, he looks happier, more mature, and more of a leader on the ice now than he did with the Flames.

I imagine he's being embraced in Florida, rather than being told to tone it down by Giordano et al.

A lot of times it backfired and got teams fired up to play the Flames. There were some bad Kings teams that treated Flames games like it was their Stanley Cup. That's not ideal. I will always give him props for being the driver behind the Kassian contract that the Oilers had to forfeit a 2nd and 3rd round pick to unload as to me that's always going to be his crowning achievement as a Flame.

Yeah. We all laughed along when Doughty was thrown off somewhat by him. We didn’t laugh at all the next game when Doughty tore the Flames up.

And he was thrown off by others almost as much as he got to them. Muzzin got in his head. Hell, Kassian and the media forced him off his game after he had the upper hand.

Tkachuk probably benefits from being on a team that has face punchers like Gudas, Bennett and Lomberg who can go with anyone. Even a guy like Cousins is a total piss ant, more so than Tkachuk, and is ready to drop the gloves.

Tkachuk was never a finished product while he was here, nor should anyone have expected him to be. He doesn't seem like a dummy so i imagine he learned some things from the Doughty situation.

Hell, Tkachuk lost his game last year chasing John F'N Klingberg

And really that clip for Tkachuk isn't a great look for him and his brand.

He is elite though, and really I'll be honest I'm a bit surprised because I thought Gaudreau was the driver of the two of them last year for sure.
Both Tkachuk and Johnny are line drivers. Having them both together was a treat to watch. However, each player on their own can carry a line.

We, the fans, got in his head. He really said that we used to like him but didn’t anymore.

Hell of a talent, but man the sideshow is annoying.

Everyone giving Patrice Bergeron a hard time for playing in that final game in Montreal a week ago can go get ####ed. Best wishes to his Dad.

@dominictiano:
Patrice Bergeron's father is battling cancer. He wanted to play in front of his father in Montreal for possibly the last time. Even wanted to go back out there after he went to the room. I'm told that doesn't matter. Shouldn't have played. Wow. I'm stunned and at a loss for words

This is Example A of why he is no longer a Flame.... Hockey IQ of a mango.

Not just those three, but Ritchie is a better pugilist than Gudas, Bennett and Lomberg. Heck Ritchie wins more than big Z (who is not that great of a fighter).

Well I would see him lose his game because he's losing his mind. Not sure what these new guys in Calgary are losing their games over.

Florida looks brutal. Generating zero offence. They've got to take this game into the sewers. Florida is playing completely disinterested.

It looked like Ekblad tried to run through McAvoy and instead he hit a brick wall. Straight down the tunnel for him
