nothing makes me feel older than the fact that I remember the game against the 1-0 shootout game against the wild 16 years ago.

Basically me LOL. Skipped this game and read the Flames subreddit PGT to read about the offside call. Came to CP this morning and it's been a hilarious read from start to finish. Especially Zamler's post as the #1. Watched the OT and shootout replay. Epic!
Inject the Wild fan's saltiness straight into my veins please.
Still too early to say if the team has turned the tide, but slight optimism creeping back with how the past few games have gone. Even in entirely crappy seasons, the team has at least gone on a heater for a few weeks, usually in the early winter months. The team still hasn't had one yet this season. They are DUE for one and it couldn't be at a better time.
Markstrom finding his groove back, the star players showing some clutch. Common boys. I'm ready to have my heart broken...or we win the damn cup!

No more losing. We’ve had enough. You win some, you lose some but from now on we win the ones we lose!

Not to rain on the parade because I certainly hope they start to get hot (especially now, talk about getting hot at the right time); but:
- team has won 3 games in a row only twice this year, once in October and the other December
- a long winning streak is IMO needed, mostly for confidence purposes but also to build momentum and increase that "belief" feeling in the room
Markstrom starting to play like Markstrom is obviously the biggest difference maker and if he is truly back; watch out- this team could be a dark horse... kind of exciting but IMO this next game, for confidence and belief reasons, is absolutely MASSIVE. Next game is must win, undoubtedly- and I really worry they're going to take the Ducks lightly when they should be treating them as if they're playing the Avalanche.

I had the other kid at hockey so heard it on the radio. When we got home the rest of the family was all grumpy and had no clue, turned the game off right after the OT non goal. It was entertaining having to convince them the Flames won.

A confidence boost would be massive for next season as well. Like it or not we are going to see a very similar team next year.

Just wanna make sure everyone realizes, that after winning back to back on the road against two playoff teams, the Flames will most certainly lose to the Ducks on home ice Friday haha
They'll outshoot them 50-15, out chance them 15-5, play 75% of the game in the Ducks end, but lose 4-2 or some #### lol

Shootouts ruin a good hockey game.
If you play 65 minutes and it’s still 0-0, the winner is the goalies.

I think Sutter runs Markstrom until we're mathmatically eliminated.

May as well - if Markstrom can put together a solid final stretch and get the confidence of the team back, that bodes well going into next year as one of the best shot-suppressing teams on the league.
If he continues to Amber Heard the bed, we get a better draft pick.
Win/Win.

It's kind of funny - GTs seem to take a while to get started, until someone says "OK, fin, I will get one going" a few minutes in.
PGTs seem ready to go before the actual end of the game. And last night it sure backfired.

And after that too if 2021 was any indication. Sutter doesn't tank. He prepares / plans to win every game. A bit frustrating when the team is done, but they aren't done yet!

Markstrom will play the rest of the games based on what Sutter said. We need Markstrom to get hot.

Really I've never been quite sure why we don't just use the GDT as the GT, especially now with all the great effort being put into those GDT generally.
And then have a PGT for the post game.
