Jonny-Elias-Matthew.

It worked last year. Let's do it again!

I went to the game, I thought Pelletier was the best forward

If I had to pick, Pelletier Zary would the 1st two on the list

We should recall all 3.

Huberdeau - Lindholm - Phillips
Ruzicka - Kadri - Mangiapane
Pelletier - Backlund - Coleman
Dube - Zary - Ritchie
Lucic, Lewis

It's not worse than what we're doing now and it gives 3 young players a chance.

I actually think Zary has been a little off of late ... he needs a lot of seasoning still

Not sure if you can take toffoli out of the lineup. He’s one of the few players that can score

Not a bad idea but I think you have to keep Toff in the lineup and keep Zary on the Wranglers for now. Demote Mang until he can prove he's not useless.

Huberdeau - Lindholm - Phillips
Ruzicka - Kadri - Toffoli
Pelletier - Backlund - Coleman
Mangiapane - Dube - Ritchie
Lewis

I would recall Pelletier, ice the following

Huberdeau - Lindholm - Toffoli
Mangiapane - Kadri - Pelletier
Coleman - Backlund - Lewis
Lucic - Ruzicka- Ritchie

Dubé, Rooney

I kept in Lucic and Lewis as I can not see Sutter scratching either player

Calling up the player is fine but the issue still remains the man handing out the ice time. As long as he as the option to play Lewis Ritchie Lucic Rooney the call up will sit because they haven't won championships or some other lame excuse

You mean all the guys who play the least ES ice time?

Who else should "the callup" be playing instead of exactly?

Dube

But Lucic is also overdue for a scratch.

I'd bring up two guys, personally. Plug one in for Dube and the other for Lucic. Shelter them at 5v5 and give them PP reps.

The point is phillips is an offensive player. Bringing him up and putting him on the checking line with Backlund is stupid. Putting him on the energy line with two plugs is criminal. He needs to be on the second line with some good offensive players.

I like the idea of putting 88-11-20 together and then letting Kadri run wild with Ruzicka and Phillips, who had tremendous chemistry together in Stockton.

Have to seriously consider putting that line back to try and get Mang going.

Ideal world would be Hub and Phillips for some reason clicking.

Also did Phillips change his number? Is he 11 in trh AHL.and 43 in the NHL?

I feel the same. I hope those two with Lindholm does occur in the near future.

If not - because Huby-Lindholm-Tofolio is productive - then him with Kadri is also desired.

Flames badly need injection of players that play with pace and skill. If Phillips can be a new playmaker for the team, it gives a lot more flexibility to the lineup, and brings life to the flatline offense.

I recall Sutter saying just before they called him the first time that he has nothing to do with who gets called up. If I recall correctly, Sutter said that call ups was a management decision.

Correct, the GM makes roster moves. That being said, Sutter most definitely has input.

Most importantly he can flat out tell the GM who he won't be playing.
