I could be missing something but I believe the Kadri/Lindholm switch was the result of screwed up lines from the PK.
Edit: what they ^ said

I agree. Trevor Lewis is last in expected goals for % at 54%. Why change anything as I feel all 4 lines are clicking. Results just aren't as good as they could be with the first line but that is mainly due to Toffoli getting robbed or hitting posts or just not burying his chances so far.

Second or third period, memory foggy, Hubedeau made an absolutely Gretzky-esque spinorama back hand pass to Lindholm for top of circle to top of the other.
That starts coming out and it will completely mess other teams.

And the only UFA's after this season....Lucic, Lewis, Ritchie and Stone.
No key RFA's to sign either, except for maybe the backup goalie. But they can probably flip him for some assets if he has strong year andgets too expensive, then replace him with last years AHL goalie of the year.
Like WTF Treliving? Amazing.
|
That's how I feel too. Treliving did amazing work pulling everything back together after the Gaudreau flop.
The team, in a very limited sample, looks considerably better than last year. They're looking like a top line RW and a consistent Markstrom away from being president trophy and cup favorites.

Shows the depth of the team that virtually every forward had quality scoring chance in that game with exception of Lewis and Rooney. Dube could have had a couple goals himself with his chances.

That 4th line has been a revelation. Lucic and Ritchie look so much faster than last year. I think a fair bit of credit goes to Rooney, who seems to be very responsible defensively and is putting his wingers in a position to succeed.
I know many of us questioned that signing on the first day of free agency, but I like what I see from him (and some credit should go to the Flames pro scouting, whom I have dogged in the past). They are getting it right.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

It feels like one that will just come at you in waves every game and win quite more than they lose. They will stay close in games if pucks aren't going in for them because our defence is so good.

I know and I can’t remember the last time it felt like this.
