Getting good pitching is fun.

Nice game by Manoah tonight. Going to be tough to get more than 5 innings out of a starter this first month. So these games are gold.

Manoah is a stud. That was still only his 30th pro ball start (A, AAA and MLB). That is insane.

Manoah is who they told us Pearson was.

If Pearson can get the mental part straightened up (and stay healthy) he might still be that guy too.

Pearson’s skill set and story are starting to remind me a lot of Brandon Morrow.
Which, he did find some success eventually. Hoping the same for Nate

Nate definitely appears to have some mental confidence challenges and possibly some physical injuries as well. Worth holding onto till the very end at this point but I’d be surprised if he regains his composite to what he could have been.

Yikes
Sounds like Jansen could be out for several weeks. Looked like he was picking up where he left off with the bat too. He was mashing it.

Base coach told him to stop, Donaldson decided to go for it when he saw the outfielder bobble the ball
Kikuchi should be thanking whatever deity he believes in for getting out of that inning unscathed, he got so damn lucky

Kikuchi lucky he didn't give up 3 plus runs that inning.
Take the 0 and settle down hopefully. Not much swing and miss though, if I were a betting man I'd bet on him getting shelled before this game is over.

I really dislike that whistle that plays when the yankees strike someone out.

Going to need people not named Springer and Espinal to contribute offensively...

Lourdes is da man. He never really makes it look easy and takes some horrible routes. But damn does he get the job done. And has a lot of fun doing it. Quietly one of my favourite players and when he gets the bat going he can absolutely rake with the best of them.

I do feel like we’ve seen a lot of rusty pitchers working out the kinks against full big league lineups so far this season across the MLB.
The shortened spring probably hurts pitchers the most.
