I was having a pint with a crony that night, with a rabble of obnoxious Leaf fans at the next table. The fourth Boston goal shut them right up. The fifth one audibly broke their hearts. I'm afraid I couldn't help but laugh, and the daggers they glared at me were absolutely glorious.
Thanks for that memory!

Was at the game last night… there was a rush up the ice by Lucic where a Toronto defender tried to stand him up… Lucic literally just rolled over him while carrying the puck. All of us in our section got a good laugh out of it… I don’t know if this is what actually happened (the defender may have just caught an edge rather that Lucic rolling over him) but it was awesome in the moment.

Lucic needs no dangles. He goes in straight lines. Anything in his way is just a slight hindrance.
I'm guessing more were added since the covid delays squished the original schedule, but haven't checked.
The two during February are replacing games that were originally not back-to-backs. The rescheduled Oilers game in March also created a new back-to-back that wasn't originally on the schedule. The Chicago-Nashville back-to-back in April replaces the games in December that were also supposed to be back-to-backs.
The shifted schedule added 3 back-to-backs from what was originally scheduled. What's nice is there's no travel between the new back-to-backs.

Well, Marchment, Ulf Samuelsson, . But if you're talking elite Dman who are also dirty, yeah those guys, and Duncan Keith in his prime, apparently Eddie Shore.
Yeah, I don't think Pronger or Stevens were dirty by the meaning of the word. They just never let up when there was a chance to hit someone, they just let you think twice before entering their zone. Marchment and Ulf Samuelsson on the other hand were dirty. When Pronger and Stevens hit to hurt you, Marchment and Ulf Samuelsson will do something else to injured you. Samuelsson loved to stick his leg out to take your knee. I am still mad at him injuring Cam Neely which contribute to Neely's early retirement. Neely was the true power forward, who can lead the league in scoring and penalty minutes.
Not sure what this means, but the legend of BSD just got a little more legendary.
When Rittich was still with the Flames, he more often than not ended up bringing one of his best performances playing like a prime Patrick Roy. I think it has something to do with that. It also likely led to them trading for him that year heh heh.
I remember Rittich absolutely robbed them of a game last season...then they traded for him and he sucked balls and wasn't even the backup in the playoffs lol
Flames traded that 3rd round pick for Zadorov who owned them last night for a little icing on the cake
