My apologies, I listened to it last night. If that's the quote, I think it was wrong if that's the reasoning.

Actually what he said was “removed from existence”.

I think Bettman is letting teams have the chance to deal with it first, before he has to.

They didn't interview Bettman because they were hired by the Blackhawks to investigate the Blackhawks involvement in this.

Questions need to be asked about Bettman, and to Bettman, but Walsh is, as usual, off the rails.

I was reading today about MLB increasing minor league pay and supplying living support for the players. I wonder if the NHL should pay the minor league players more money or supply apartments for the kids coming up so the vulnerable ones don't get sucked into accepting a meal/drinks by the predators because they are so low on cash.

But first each team/organization needs to hire a Brian McGrattan type guy who meets with and talks with the young guys about on and off ice issues.

All good ideas. But, I would like Brian to have a little conversation with Aldrich.

ECHL teams provide housing for players, I believe this required by the league.

The minimum AHL salary is $51k US this year. If the player is on a NHL two way contract minimum AHL salary is $80k US.

Certainly not the best conditions but don't think they are comparable to what was being reported about the MLB.

I think it’s a bad look on Walsh to try and go after Bettman with this (they have a personal feud) over Twitter

Like he read the report and that’s the guy he wants answers from? Not Fehr?

Screams of using a serious situation as a shield to try and settle a grudge

Walsh is always like this.. he calls out issues but only goes after the league. Never the NHLPA.

No it isn't as bad as baseball was, but baseball also has about 150 minor league players per team. But thank you for the salary information as I wasn't sure what they were getting paid.

NHL GMs and coaches are in Chicago today and Bowman and Quenneville are both also there and planning to address the large group this morning.

NHL report on juniors coming too? Are they going to do all the bad news and rape related stuff in one day?

I think they are going to say they are sorry and want back into the league. They may even have positions lined up.
