Yeah, lots of goalies in here

As a goalie of course you want to stop the puck but you also want to contain the rebound, especially off the crest

I bet you Markstrom doesn’t love his rebound even if you guys do

I’d disagree. Ottawa is a way better “team”. Calgary are a bunch of guys thinking about hitting the links.

Flames want it easy. Ottawa wants it any way they can get it. That hunger makes them a cut above “team” wise.

Difference being one is on the rise with some good young players and one isn't.

Idiotic take. Shots from 2 feet away from the goalie into his midsection are some of the easiest to stop

It went in the crest, you don’t have to be smart to know how likely a goalie is to stop that

This is the disconnect. On paper, this team is not better. They are exactly what they are. That 18/19 season was an anomaly, and every other season they’ve been exactly what they are - at best a bubble team, and even when they sneak in they get punted nice and early while looking like a joke.

Flames better hope Kenney doesn’t close the golf courses.

Not what I see. Bailing on hits, being scared to get hit, turning away from rebounds in front of the net, bad giveaways, etc.

A lot of the stuff they're doing isn't because they're tired, they're just a lazy team that doesn't want to go that extra mile to win games. Trying to win on minimal effort. No sacrifice. Mentally weak.

Need to gut the team and change the culture.

You can find lots of players on the team who have made bad plays or underperformed. Including the goalies.

But to me it begins and ends with the fact that the team doesn’t score enough and both Tkachuk and Monahan are on pace for fewer than 20 goals in a full season. With absolutely no secondary scoring that is fatal for this club.

You’re the guy who said that, in the butterfly position, your stick arm is supposed to be tight against your body - I don’t think you have a lot of space to comment on others’ goalie analysis.

Notice how nobody agrees with you on this one?

Blaming Markstom on that one just shows your bias. Ironic because you got mad when people did the same thing to 5 goal Hart contender Sam Bennett.

This team this year is also an anomaly in the exact same way 18/19 team was in the positive direction.

This team is a middling team I agree on that. But they are much worse this season than they are in reality.

Or if we just didn’t have Ward as coach.

Either way. Mediocre team with bottom of the barrel effort and GAF

That goal wasn't on markstrom, no doubt.

It's just another game where we see the opposing goaltender, make saves, huge game swinging saves for their team.

Again, not a goal I'd blame markstrom on.. Of course, I wouldn't have blamed Murray is tkachuk point blank chance either.

One goalie made a stop he probably shouldn't.

Oxygen deprivation makes the brain stupid. I'm half kidding, watching the bench a few times I see the so called core sucking wind.

Every game I'm closer to this belief. Tre can't be the one to do it.

I hate that icing call. Sen turns away from the puck instead of trying to play it.

Ritchie drives to the net, then turns to the side to give Murray a clear look at the shot. Why? Get in his face, block his view. Why make it easier for him?

If we don’t score here PP coach should be axed on the spot.
