Our goaltending being universally revered on boards and TV is still taking some getting used to.

Once every generation a new messiah arrives. The last since Messiah the head of the church of Kiprusoftian retired to a quiet life of contemplation and fighting the blood monsters of the Fehildian fog shrouded fjords while devouring the souls of non believers.

But yeh, a new chosen one shall arise to pick up the flock that had followed such false profits as the Boucher, Smith and the Elliot, who came to us with promises of miracles but left us fast first in the mud if inadequate goaltending.

And so the new savior the Jacob strode to the ice and faced the anticipated and said "Raise your eyes and look upon me as I will protect the sacred goal, and lead us across the long journey to glory. Do not despair when you look upon the jerseys of the enemies, the Oilers, and the Canucks and the Jets for I will repel their attacks with righteousness and remorselessness reserved for those no good non believers."

For there is only one commandment in the church of Jacob, though foul pucks shalt not pass.

This is hyperbole.

Lindy and Chucky are 1st and 4th in team scoring, Chucky is 2nd in goals scored with three 5v5 goals which is not bad, and he has the best +/- among forwards.

Sure he's had some rough games, and yes I would agree our new top line has more in them than we've seen so far. But they're pretty far from bad.

Lucic regularly does things that James Neal would never do in a million years (like forecheck) and it creates opportunities that otherwise wouldn't exist.

He's been decent enough that his cap hit doesn't really concern me. Everyones got a couple overpaid pluggers. He's not the worst. And he seems to be having fun.

It was another nuclear meltdown of a Canucks post game show on the radio. Continuous meltdowns by callers as they have hit the panic button.

Dube was benched, but he has been fine IMO, while Tkachuk has been a disaster.

Mangiapane continues to shine. For me, he, Gaudreau, and Monahan have been the best forwards this year. Backlund and Lucic are making a late charge.
Exaggeration in almost every statement. A kernel of truth in each as well.
