Open your eyes to the bigger picture Dino. Tonights loss and elimination is a culmination of more than what just happened tonight.

Then you back up the god damn brinks truck.
This is a multimillion dollar business operation. To put this in terms that maybe Edwards can understand if he’s ever hopefully reading this or his minions are; this is like throwing your CNRL mail room guy out as head of all field operations because you’re too god damn cheap to pony up to for the talent properly.
Get a life and run the team properly. Get a real normal respected coach- let him have autonomy and make his own assistant / deployment decisions and then get out of the way. The end. Not that god damn hard.

I'm in utter disbelief as I had to pause watching after it was 3-0... First thought was how could they blow this lead?
Any other team and I wouldn't have thought this was possible in a win or go home game...
Worst birthday present ever... WOW!

Ward's interview was embarrassing. Making things up about Talbot's equipment instead of owning his decision. What leadership.

Didn't someone post in the GT that Talbot took his gear off after being pulled? Maybe Ward isn't wrong, that he wanted Talbot back in but Talbot wasn't dressed.

If you would read people are only blaming goal tending for THIS game...that being said none of those goalies are #1 goalies
You can upgrade in more than one area

He said it was hard and unfair to put Rittich in a situation like that. He wanted to give Talbot a very brief moment to collect himself and go back in and then the equipment issue.

But totally illogical in the big picture. So they didn’t break the bank but just another example of short term thinking and no real visible plan. And we find ourselves short some worthwhile picks.

Don't forget not turning two pending UFA Ds into anything last summer. Brodie deal falls through and nothing else happens until Hamonic hurts himself then it's too late.
Just brutal asset management

I don't really have an opinion on whether to blow your team up or just patch. For my guys, some long term contracts would have to be moved, and I would think that that would be true for your guys, too.
All I can say is, that I am grateful to have seen some competitive hockey in the late summer doldrums of August. As a Cub fan,and in normal years, my guys would have been also-rans by now, and preseason NFL is usually a joke.
At the very least, there are some things to be addressed for both of our teams, before whatever we get for a 2020-2021 campaign, and this playoff experiment highlighted what will be needed to be fixed, for any near future post seasons.
And whatever is in store for the Flames or the 'Hawks, we can see that 2 superstars and a sense of entitlement is further away from success than either of OUR teams can achieve!

Yeah I will wait for the full story before getting out the pitchfork
the announcer even said Talbot wasn't on the bench for a while

That’s BS and he’s trying to cover his own butt IMO.
He clearly made the emotional decision to pull Talbot since he thought it was a bad goal. Wasn’t some master plan to put him back in.
And even it that was the plan it was a stupid one, as the three soft goals on Rittich would indicate, or he should have told Talbot the plan before he went down the tunnel.

I get that they have to be nice because they deal with these people daily but they also have reputations and credibility they risk by acting this way.
And when I say they risk I mean- I think it’s shot at this point. Nothing they say matters. It’s like reading dinoc7 or whatever’s posts on here. Irrelevantly biased. Waiting for the look in the mirror rebuttal but in advance- I don’t care and I’m right and most importantly I don’t want to be right about this team. They have let me down enough. You don’t get to not care 95% of the time and then just expect the fans to continually care for you floating around.
Blow it up. That is something I would look forward to.

Flame away if you want but I thought he gave a good accounting of what he did.
I give him credit for answering all the questions with detailed responses. I also liked a lot of what he said and his experience behind his behind his takes.

Even if she is bad there are lots of bad reporters

Sounds like BS
If it’s an equipment issue, detail it.
Job should be on the line. Hand waving doesn’t undo the gamble and loss
