So far, the remaining series break down as follows:

Edmonton (5) v. Chicago (12) 1–2
Nashville (6) v. Arizona (11) 1–2
Vancouver (7) v. Minnesota (10) 2-1

Assuming that no teams win two in a row from here moving forward, this would place Calgary second among the play-in teams:

1. Vancouver
2. Calgary
3. Arizona
4. Chicago

Currently, the round-robin tournament is split between two groups of teams:
Colorado and VGK have a 2–0 record, and St Louis and Dallas have an 0–2 record.

If everything follows the current trend, the Flames's most likely opponent in Round #1 is the defending Stanley Cup Champions, St Louis Blues, whom I expect will beat the Dallas Stars on Sunday.

Calgary could be anywhere from 5 to 8 seed since they’re the only Western conference team to advance thus far. So I believe all teams still in play.

Aahhhh. This feels right! So right!

Loved the Flames this series; they really learned from game two.

Hats off to the Jets' players for giving it a go with all of their injuries! Boo to Paul Maurice for being a tool. That said, if the Jets land the first overall, I don't mind. They lost three starting defensemen before this season. BUT WHO CARES RIGHT NOW!?

GO FLAMES GO!

We could still play any of the top 4. We could end up with any seed from 5-8 depending on how the other 3 series go.

We'll be seeded behind whichever of Edmonton, Nashville, or Vancouver win their series, so as things currently stand if all 3 series end at game 4 we'd be the 6 seed and play the winner of Dallas-St. Louis.

I didn't realize teams get reseeded.

Paul Maurice....poor soul, he was just too high strung.

The Jets battled, but when the Flames got up two on them, they were in a world of hurt as they couldn't open it up to try and get back into the game.

Really Gaudreau, Giordano, and Tkachuck really didn't play all that well, and the team went thru pretty seamlessly. Good sign when three of your top guys are pretty average, and you really don't miss a beat.

Avalanche (2-0) 4 pts vs Golden Knights (2-0) 4 pts Saturday
Blues (0-2) 0 pts vs Stars (0-2) 0 pts Sunday

- Avs/Golden Knights have locked down #1 & #2
- Blues/Stars have locked down #3 & #4

Oilers #5
Preds #6
Canucks #7
Flames #8
Jets
Wild #10
Yotes #11
Hawks #12

Based on current series leads:
Avs/Golden Knights would play Yotes/Hawks
Blues/Stars would play Canucks/Flames

Edit: ya, what Textcritic said

When is the last time a Vezina winning goalie was not out in the first round?

The Flames have inflicted the greatest pain known to mankind.

They have sent people back to Winnipeg in the Summer.

May God have mercy on their souls.

Yikes. There went all my happiness in one post. I don't like Dallas or St. Louis as a matchup. Both teams have owned the flames for years. Thw3n again I thought Colorado had no chance since Calgary owned them for nearly a decade and beat them every game untill game 2 of the playoffs so what do I know.

Is escaping to Winnipeg in the summer worse than being trapped in an Edmonton quarantine?

And a nice bonus - I feel like beating the Jets in this series avenges our loss in the Heritage Classic too!
