I think Rittich is still giving us legit #1 goaltending (regardless of the stats). Mangiapane might just have the most heart of all the skaters right now.

I agree that some fans are being a little overzealous but I don't think it's unreasonable to be enormously dissatisfied with this current brand of Flames hockey.
At some point, changes have to be made. The games the Flames have won this year have been close come-from-behind decisions and the ones they've lost have mostly been embarrassing shellackings. Preaching eternal patience? There are only so many seasons to waste.

The whole team just looks completely out of sync.
I get the sense that they changed strategies to play a more defence-oriented game in the lead up to, and in, the playoffs last year, and it completely disrupted the game they'd been playing before. They don't have the horses for anything other than a run-and-gun, activated defence game. But that takes some confidence to play, and they've got none of that right now.
Rittich is a champ though.
