He just seems to be a shell of the player he was when he was younger. He's not that old either.
He was always high risk/high reward, but he just doesn't seem to have the wheels to keep up and the stick skills to make plays. He may as well be Michael Stone out there.

For sure. He was always a bit of a gambler when it came to pinching and trying to make plays but never had the strong off puck skills to make up for it. Now his moves aren't finding the back of the net so that latter half of his game is glaring.

I can agree with that. It's not that he's gotten slower but thaf the league's gotten faster.
He's still a solid all-around defenseman though, when he's on his game.

The wave with a 2 goal lead seems like tempting fate. I know the Flames are pretty strong this game, but I hate that. Cheer, yell, chant, but the wave should be reserved for real blowouts.
