This season's pens game may be the 6 periods leading up to that third/OT. Honestly equally painful and embarrassing. Then in that fifteen minute intermission someone kicked the proverbial garbage pale.

To add to ATL because Vancouver fans had to chime in.

Spoiler!

Ok I felt since Vancouver taking Juolevi is equally as hilarious and allowed us to draft Tkachuk, he deserved a version as well:

Spoiler!

I think I'm going to bookmark this and the next time I'm feeling down and need a lift, I read this again and then watch that Chucky's between the leg goal.

Thanks guys.

That Tkachuk goal was insane. Easily one of the nicest goals I’ve ever seen.

Having said that, I feel like a play that’s being overlooked because of that goal (rightfully so) was the fake shot Gio did when he set up Quine. That was a thing of beauty as well. Sucked in just about every Predators player on the ice.

"You're gonna lay down and play dead from the get go. You're gonna wait until 13 minutes in to take your first shot on goal. You're gonna keep it to under ten shots on net half way into the game. You're gonna give up two freebie shorthanded tallies after giving a piss poor job of holding the line. You're gonna come back from 3 goals down, only to surrender the lead again with just over a minute left. But then you're gonna shock everyone and tie it again to send it to OT. Then...then you're gonna make a buzzer beater in OT, its gotta be through the legs from 25 feet out, the most ridiculous goal ever just to stick it to the fans that were about to hang themselves over watching your first two periods. Perfect." -Peters

Agreed.

So many highlights, players have time and space.

Not so much here. Time was of the essence

I miss watching probably two or three games a year. Was planning on watching this one late after a Halloween get together. Accidentally saw a tweet that the Flames were playing horribly and decided to uncharacteristically give up and check the score early in the 3rd. Saw we were losing and felt relief that I wasn't missing a heroic comeback.

Then I got home.

This comeback win reminds me of the big 3rd period comeback win against the Avs last season. If I recall correctly, it was right around this time as well and catapulted the team into some great hockey

No way. It’s easier to score like that when you have the puck on your stick and the ability to wind up a shot.

Tkachuk skated into a loose puck and roofed it the other way with the buzzer about to go. Clutch.

I was thinking the exact same thing. We all knew he was a flames fan all along, finally confirmed.
