I like this idea. I want them to scratch Jankowski and Neal and put Czarnik and Dube in to increase team speed.

So ironic that Mike Smith is the only story on our side. Dude has been spectacular.

There just seems to be so much parity in this league. A lot of it artificial. But should Tampa trade Stamkos or Kucherov? Probably not, and we know they have at least had some post-season success in prior years.
But man, games like this just make me not want be a hockey fan. I'm not asking for the top seeds to get freebies on the first round. I'm not asking for no more upsets.
But why shouldn't I just cheer on a dice?

I do think that for the last half of the season exposed that the team is not perfect, and still need some adjustments. The top players have been ineffective for over half the season, so I don't think it's unreasonable to look at adjust it, and trading some pillar pieces. The team still finished 2nd in the NHL with their top guns being absolute no shows. Flames can still compete in the future even if a player such as Monahan isn't around anymore.

And deprive us of at least one of the few good prospects we have. The only way you make that trade is if you're extremely confident Stone gets you to the Finals this year. Vegas had the assets and are the defending runner-ups. It made more sense for them to get Stone than it did for the Flames.

Czarnik and Dube should dress next game. Bench Jankowski and Neal. Bench Brodie and play Prout or Stone
Gaudreau - Bennett - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Czarnik - Monahan - Dube
Mangiapane - Ryan - Hathaway
Giordano-Anderson
Hamonic - Hanifin
Valimaki - Prout/Stone
Smith

Neal needs to never play another game for this team. Worst offensive player on the team. Worst defensive player on the team. Plays in every playoff game. On the ice in OT..., WHY

I'm not convinced acquiring Stone would have changed this series much. Stone wouldn't have prevented all of the shots against us. If anything it was wise not to trade an asset like Valimaki away if this was how the team was going to play outcome.

The good news is the Avs will only get better next year with whoever they draft with the Sens pick and Makar looks like gold already.

Haha Classic Flames. Never change... I know I will, but I can’t imagine having the energy to follow them again next season.

We ain't winning 3 in a row taking 50+ shots per game. I'm really so disappointed that it's come to this after an incredible season. Bravo Avs, you figured out the Flames.

Since the easy Canucks series this core of pusssies is a whopping 2-11 (soon to be 2-12) in the playoffs.

On the plus side, some guys have performed this season beyond expectation, in my mind:
Hathaway
Mangiapane
Andersson
Valamaki
Ryan
Gio (aside from the team meltdown, don’t discredit his play).

Another cowardly effort from Gaudreau & Monahan, and how does Peters explain Neal seeing the ice in the third and OT? He’s the definition of a liability.

Man Flames could not drive the play when it mattered. So frustrating but we all knew the Flames had no chance outside a lucky bounce with the way they were playing. This has been all Avs.

You know what I love about playoff PGTs? Seeing fans that literally haven't posted in years suddenly finding their voice to shout about how awful the Flames are.
Get bent. Your voices carry no weight around here.
