I have full faith the flames will pick it up. They probably felt comfortable after their victory.

They just need to keep MacKinnon at bay and weather the storm until they run out of gas. Then counter crotch punch.

I really enjoy the Rick and Cassie combo. I like Hrudey at the intermission.

Well Flames will have to be much better but pretty happy this game is tied. Scoring the next goal would really deflate the Avs.

In fairness I was texting a friend of mine at the end of the period and missed the scrum. Did the PVR rewind and Bennett did throw two punches before taking one in the teeth.

That said, I wouldn't have called a penalty, it was a scrum.

Are you sure you're not just a huge homer? Watch the replay. Avs got a similar penalty in the first game that Tkachuk drew.

Bennett got the only 2 there? That’s an atrocious call.

That was probably the best period the Avs could play and the Flames weren't too overwhelmed.

Flames have to just play their game and the tide will turn.

So much panic here over the Avs playing hard or the refs being ####. The Avs are a one line team and the refs have been #### all year. Lol. Go Flames!

I don't think they're playing badly by any means. Colorado certainly had the edge in the 2nd half of the period, but that was basically all MacKinnon.

I'm worried that these penalties are gonna bite us in the arse eventually though. Flames need to stay out of the box and keep things 5 on 5.

I don't like Cassie... her work is perfectly fine, has been for a while.

Simmer was five hundred times worse. Stop giving her a harder time cause she's a she.

Wish I had the skills to capture that shot of Hamonic's elbow pressing MacKinnon's face into the glass hahaha

Depth. Depth. Depth.

Avs are the definition of a one line team. In this case a one player team.

Completely agree

This was a statement period for the Avs after getting shut out last game. They certainly carried the play but ran their top line hard and ended up 0-0.

I think the Flames will respond nicely the next few periods. Next PK is huge to set the tone.

Let's hope for a similar script to last night...scoreless first, survive penalty trouble early in the second and then a goal by Eat Bread!

Flames are really scrambly when attempting to transition, need to deep breathe and adjust there and actually have some breakouts.
