So I would try for 2019 1st, conditional 2020 1st on him signing with us, Kylington, and a guy like Pettersson or Phillips.

Like I've said, though, that either isn't happening now based in reports, or puts Treliving in a really weak bargaining position with Stone, which he'd hate.

If we landed Stone we would have 6 players in the top 40 scorers right now. That could be pretty amazing to watch.

I'd be surprised if OK was included in a deal for Stone. That would leave the Flames with no depth on the left side which would mean they'd likely make another trade for a left-handed depth defender. And with the prices already established for these types of players being quite high, I hope we don't see the Flames make that deal.

Further to that, it's like adding another Lindholm, who is not only a great player in his own right, he really does make his line much better. We would have the lethal combination of possession monsters, high defensive responsibility, and extremely high end scoring talent over two lines - locked in during their primes over multiple years to boot. Our bottom 6 is quite good in these respects as well.
It would be a ridiculously stacked lineup.Stone on our team would be utterly terrifying to opponents. The more I think about it, the more I think they just have to do it, within reason.

It would be stacked up front. It would be depleted in the back end.

Lmao wut?
He's point per game.
He's one of the very best defensive RW'ers in the NHL, if not THE best defensive RW'er.
One dimensional...

If you sign Stone, presumably you trade Brodie. If he's already cost Kylington or Andersson, you then have to deal with expansion.
Protection list: Gaudreau, Stone, Monahan, Tkachuk, Lindholm, Backlund, Bennett, Valimaki, Hanifin, Hamonic (or Andersson/Kylington), Rittich?
Still lose Kylington or

Not saying I'm right, just watched a few games live (4-5 the last couple years) and you don't really notice him unless he scores. Just my opinion from watching him live. I don't watch a lot of sens games.

I don’t watch Ottawa very often, but when I do watch them, I watch them a lot.

At Sam Bennett's age here was Mark Stone's NHL stat line:
64GP
14G
17A
or pro-rated for 82 GP
18G
22A
Sure doesn't sound like he was a star player at Sam Bennett's age. Those are support player numbers.
But naw, players don't develop. They are what they are at 22 and 248 days old.

Make no question, Stone would solidify the Flames as contenders. He's a guy that can drive his own line, so you could even keep running with 3M and let him elevate his own trio while inspiring responsible defensive play.

Stone turned 22 in the spring before the 14-15 season. That was his technical rookie year. He had 26 goals, 64 points and was up for the Calder.

What am I missing here?
At 22 years old Mark Stone put up 26 goals and 64 points.
