I know as a Flames fan, there is a bias against our friends to the North. I’m sure an unconscious one exists that taints everything I think Oilers related, even when I’m trying to be objective.
But this season has officially been the breaking point clearly for the fan base and the media. The decades of rebuild + expectations with McD have literally made them all snap. They are officially unwell and require professional help and are unable to function properly and be reasonable or see things logically.
I just cant get over how "low energy" he is in every, single, interview. I dont see any burning passion to fight with the league if he truly thinks he's hard done by over a suspension. He never shows any emotion after they get wall papered 9-1 or lose a tight one, or fluke out a win. You'll see McSicky get a little bent if hes being given a rough time on the ice but it rarely goes anywhere.
There's a reason he's never really won anything other than individual awards. I'd be hard pressed to follow him into a bar let alone a hockey game.

And McDangles even jokes about how he doesn't backcheck. "Ha ha ha! I dont give full effort anyhow, so how hard can I realistically hit anybody?!?"
(Didn't see an apology in there either, but I could be wrong on that...I have a rule that I try to read Spector articles as quickly as possible so as to avoid the worms crawling into my brain...)
They are hurting McD more than they are helping him. He is soon to be the most hated person in hockey because of the special treatment he gets from these clowns up north. His teammates must feel great to see this too, McD this and McD that, it's as if they don't matter at all.
He should tell everyone to stop and remind them that he is just like any other player on his team. Be humble. So far he has embraced the red carpet.
The lack of remorse is sickening. Every word coming from The Edmonton Oilers and Connor McDavid provides more and more justification for the NHL’s decision.
If anything McDavid’s behaviour provides ammunition to the NHL to really lay down some serious punishment should he become a repeat offender.
He has shown he doesn’t give a #### about other players or the impact of his actions.

The rest of the Oilers arent Connor McDavid, neither are the rest of the players in the rest of the League.
Only McDavid warrants fairness, only McDavid warrants justice. Know McDavid. Love McDavid. Worship McDavid.
The rest of the players are to be treated as Eloi and used as sustenance for the McDavid.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I just saw snippets of McPerfect and Bob. What a bunch of self-entitled losers up there. I hereby wish that they lose every single game from here to eternity.
oiler fans should be a little happy, this give them some room for excuses.
"He should have won the Art Ross, the Rocket and the Hart but he missed too many games due to suspension, flu, typhoid, ebola and the runs from some KFC."
This player is perfect for that team and the fawning media and numerous ministers of propaganda. A complete inability to accept responsibility for his actions, and an organization that leads the way in ineptitude.
I know that I make fun of him in my signature, but is he really not that smart or just really poorly advised?
It’s okay everyone, first time offender Connor didn’t mean to do it so there shouldn’t be a suspension.
How about the organization and the player man up and accept some responsibility for outcomes?
Best news? next time he’s a repeat offender, and there will be a next time.

I just watched it, in summary McPerfect is a highly skilled player that would never do anything bad. What a stinky garbage fire the Oilers are.

This kind of attitude, running through the entire organization is the reason they’re in the boat they’re in. No accountability, nothing wrong with anything they’ve done, no need to change. Even the water couldn’t avoid being thrown under the bus.
Please never change Edmonton. I like you just the way you are.

To be fair to McDavid. He is being taught the wrong way. Coaches and management are grooming him to be a part of the OBC.
Remember the look on his face when the Oilers won the lottery for his draft. He didn't want to go there. They made GM and coaching changes after talking to his camp, before drafting him, to make him happy. Again this year they replaced Chia shortly after McDavid's agent talked to the team. He wants them to give him a chance or he's gone. He's not happy with Edmonton. There's still some good in him. I can feel it.
