Honestly, I was surprised he didn't pull him at the 4 min mark when they had set up their PP in the Calgary zone.
So I agree with MacKinnon if that was his issue

MacKinnons opinion on that matter is irrelevant. It’s a coaching decision, and that would be a poor reason to yell at your coach on live TV, IMO.

That was my theory
He didn't give his team enough time. Should have pulled with the PP in place.

They have lost 8/9 and Mackinnon is playing well this season. Not surprised it boiled over. I'd rather see that than mulletville's laissez-faire attitude to sucking.

Varlamov was pulled with about 3 minutes left. It's a good theory on why MacKinnon may have been upset. But if true, then I think MacKinnon is the idiot here.
