Unfortunately.
But Will is not the answer... they disrespect him completely and his opinions are really not well thought out.
Hockey central is so bad, I wish they just went with Jim Rome hour three instead of playing a pointless interview with loubardias where he says how much he loves each and every one of the players, and then kirsch just being awful and then replaying interviews from the morning...

As bad as that is, Rome is worse.

I dont know if its possible for the Fan960 to tell how many people are listening but I turn Jim Rome off instantly in hopes they can.
Always been a fan of Peter Klein. Could see him having a bigger roll at the station.

I haven’t listened to Hockey Central at noon fan960 edition for awhile now. It was ok at first but when Kelly took it over it went downhill. I’d prefer to hear the Toronto Hockey Cental at noon, hear some different voices.
Plus 1 for Peter Klein on the morning show. I prefer him over Wil or Bill

NO ONE is better than Rome.
And I mean literally having no one on during his timeslot would be better; just static or dead air would be a massive improvement.

I live in victoria. With Vancouver having 2 full time sports stations they cant just mail it in. The problem with 960 is the lack of another option. Not to mention they get local sports coverage all day.

I guess I just don't take the morning show as seriously. I've liked the show no matter who is hosting. I liked Pinder but I don't care if they want to talk about stupid stuff for some of the time. I don't need 24/7 hockey talk. Actually it is one of the things I don't like about the Fan, they talk hockey 99% of the time.
I just woke up and am trying to drag my ass out of bed and go to work. I don't absolutely need to hear deep analysis of the depth chart for training camp. There are definitely more hours of airtime than there is relevant Flames content without hearing the same discussion 20 times in 20 different ways.
The only guy I've ever not liked is PBP guy. Wills? I find his takes are always way off and he strikes me as a huge homer. I wouldn't be upset if I never had to hear his insight and he stuck to just doing PBP.

Agree with this. He’s not bad at PBP but other than that I can’t stand the guy.

Kirsch is brutal. No way around it.
Loubardias, I get it. He's been in the business a long time and has been burned more than a few times. He's not going to offer the hot take or any real critical analysis. The last thing he needs is to get canned for saying something critical. That said, a guy who watches as much hockey as he does and gets paid for his "analysis" should be able to come up with more in depth commentary on a show like Hockey Central at Noon while being fair. Instead, I find he defers too frequently to things like "confidence" and "slotting" so that he's not rubbing anyone the wrong way. To hear him talk about confidence as a big issue with the PP and not mention even surface issues like perimeter play, lack of cross ice puck movement into scoring areas, no one on their off side for quick one timers, etc... Nope. Just guys lacking confidence and tough slotting when Versteeg got injured.

Yup. Me too.
Moreover if one already believes something like the PP's problem is lack of cross ice passes, etc, then why do you want to simply hear someone tell you that same thing?
Loubo has his opinions and perception of the game. I don't think he's adjusting his views out of fear of being fired.

They just need an injection of personality. Maybe even a hot head would help. I love differing opinions and heated debates on air.
That whole deal with Loubo over Russell when he was going ufa when I think even pat and him squared off at one point while live was great radio. Now they all just agree with each other and play it ultra safe.
At least overtime will continue to provide entertainment.

If you like hoops Rome is ok I guess, otherwise he sucks, for me, dead air is a massive improvement over Rome

Flipped on the fan while I was in the garage this afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised to,hear some live local sports programming on the weekend.
Some of it was replayed stuff from Friday, but it was a nice change from cbs sports radio. Hopefully they keep it up.

The goofy slapstick SNL skit like stuff on the morning show was wearing thin with me. Pinder doing the news but they interrupted 3587346 times with the goofy sounds they have drove me crazy. Boomer giggling the whole time and thinking the listeners enjoyed it. Perhaps it’s just because it’s the first week and things are new but they seem to have settled that down. I listen to get insights and news on what’s happening not for the 12 year old humour. I wish they could have Stephen Brunt on daily.

Brunt and Friedman have been my favourite elements of the morning show. I think the show will suffer without Pinder because he was a good foil to Rhett in that you had this super keen, encyclopedic guy and then the kind of slacker, ex pro. It was a good dynamic. I think they definitely need to get a sharp guy in there to complement Boomer and Rhett. I like Boomer and find him funny but he needs more than just Rhett to play off of.

Is there a reason that they don't have a 9-1 show (or 10-1 if they keep the 'Pinder Hour')?
Also, just spit-ballin' here...But is it too much to ask for a female personality? It would be awesome to pluck a talent like Leah Hextall out of Wpg to get some airtime. Let her host a 10-1 show. Would be a good start.
