If the guy at the top of your board will be available later you trade down a few spots. If the Flames had question marks around Bennet than you trade back a spot or to and take your guy and acquire a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Hughes and Boqvist smaller but high reward puck moving defencemen taken before Dobson and Bouchard. Honestly not too surprised with Hughes but Boqvist was a surprise.
