Impressive playoff moment from Miller in the last 5 minutes.

Marchand is in the same trash class as Cooke, Avery, Burrows.

Did you stop cheering for the Flames when Bryan Marchment put on the jersey? or Todd Bertuzzi? or Chris Simon?
Is it worse to lick a guy or to end his career with a knee, sucker punch or a stomp from a skate?

Yes, I would. But thanks for telling me what I would do though. Marchand is pure trash.

The lick was bad, we all get it and there is no defending that but I would take Marchand and all the antics and baggage that comes with him because he’s a unique player that is scarcely duplicated in today’s NHL. Bill Peters said as much when talking about Tkachuk saying there are 5 of his type in the league you got Chucky, Marchy and a few more is what he was saying and he’s right about that.
If Brodie, Bennett, Fox got you Marchand you wouldn’t take that?? The guy has back to back 85 pts seasons one in 80 games and this year in 68; he makes us better right away and would be a legit thorn in the side of our biggest rivals.
It would obviously take a lot more to get Marchy than that but people who are saying they would straight up ditch the Flames if Marchand came to the team are out of it. I’d gladly take him and will continue to always look at Marchand as a player you love to have and hate to play against.

Nah, I'm not out of it man. I like the players I cheer for to set a certain personal standard of behavior. Tell me, what exactly has Marchand done in this series to help his team win? And what exactly has he done to help TB win? Then you want to give up a bunch of players for a Trashy cheap player that cannot even help his team win?
I ask who is out of it here? It's not me.

I'd take Tyler Johnson on my team though, that dude hustles! Plays like he has two extra inches of heights and 50 more pounds than he really does.

He had 1 goal and 7 assists for 8 points in 5 games. That’s what he did to help his team win.
I’ll take that on the Flames all day every day.

That’s a terrible counter argument. You could point to a number of reasons they lost. Brad Marchand is not one of them. Not even close.

Lightning and Capitals would be a good series. Hope the Caps can pull it off against the Pens and then demolish Tampa (I friggen hate Tampa)
Washington vs. San Jose --> Now, that would be a great final with both teams who should have won a few times already over the past decade.

i remember being a bit bummed out on not having a GM opening for Yzerman... not to say Calgary would have tabbed him or whether he would want to come here...but there were a lot of questions about whether he was too young or whether GM'ing hockey canada wasn't a difficult task...
Turns out Stevie Y has been doing a heck of a job in TB along with cooper.
fun team to watch...

He was a massive piece to a puzzle that cameback down 3-2 to win the cup 4-3 while away in 2011 (put up 11 goals and 19 points that run in his rookie year)
He’s played instrumental roles on numerous Bruins rosters the past 8 years helping his team achieve playoff berths in 6 of those 8 seasons while charging to the cup finals twice, 2nd round twice and seeing two first rounds as well.
Adding 35+ goals / 70+ even 80+ points from a guy who is one of the best pests in the game is a no brainer. He’s proven he can help his team achieve the ultimate glory of winning a cup and also proved he can get them back for another chance.
People sometimes let their blind hate over rule common sense... 31 gms out of 31 gms take Marchand over T Johnson 10 times out of 10 and it’s not even close.

Thought Marchand was pretty bad today. Lots of turnovers and a complete lack of hustle. Damn near neutered that game. I would have to think long and hard about him on my team. I thought he turned a corner with the antics but he was though to watch in that series. I went in cheering for Boston but it didn't take long for me to start pulling for Tampa.
Boston looked physically spent, it was nice to see.
