For a guy with a Cy Young stat line, Ferland sure has made a pair of beauty passes last 2 games.

...so, another win for internal player development? Patience and opportunity has resulted in Ferland becoming a legit top line RW. What a pass.

Either Ferland has amazing vision, or this line has developed ESP-like knowledge of where the others will be, because that was one amazing no-look, backhand pass on to Monahan's tape for a tap-in.

Ferland appears to be figuring it out. Fantastic to see.

He used to really force his passes, with way too much juice and through a bunch of players. Now he is really making smart ones.

Another excellent road period by the Flames, and they were finally rewarded with a beauty goal from the top line. Good stuff!

Disagree. The Flames are past the point where they can let that guy work through his issues for this year with unlimited time since they're in the thick of a heated playoff race.

It's up to the player Lazar to find whatever it is and then earn his stripes. And the fact that Lazar has possibly looked even worse than a done Stajan when he's been played in the lineup will do him no favours.

i think its also because he simplified his game to the trigger man... so he is usually a the end of the passing sequence.

As he has gained confidence, the game is slowing down for him, where he won't just shoot it right away...

two minutes before the goal, he had a nice little nutmeg pass to johnny through the neutral zone and I thought "where the heck did that come from"...

excited for Ferly

I have a blank jersey at home I want to get lettered. Debating between Ferland and Tkachuk. Both guys are making it hard to choose between them I might just need to buy another jersey and get both ffs

Show me a 4th line of Mangiapane - Hrivik - Lazar. If Lazar is the worst player on the roster, we’re in a good spot because he’s going to get better. Patience, and opportunity required.

So are you saying he wouldn't be good on any other team?
