I don't mind the move at all.
He hits dingers and plays a corner outfield position way better than Zeke or Joey Bats so thats a huge improvement.

Grichuk strikes out a TON and struggles to get on base, but maybe the FO thinks he can figure it out the same way Smoak did.

On that note I found this tweet interesting.

They had similar confidence when they re-signed Smoak. Be interesting to see how this one turns out.

I don't mind this move because it's a guy who is relatively young, has shown some promise and it didn't take much to get him. For a team retooling, these are the chances they should be taking. I still think they should sell high on Pillar and Donaldson, but what do I know.

Smoak returned to the same old Smoak we always knew in the last copupkenof months of the season didn’t he? I honestly can’t remember. I had lost interest by that point.

Yeah he tailed off, but still had numbers in the 2nd half that were better than his career averages.

Career - .223 / .308 / .392 / .700 / 162 game pace BB 61, SO 136, HR 21, RBI 65
1st half - .302 / .368 / .593 / .961 / 162 game pace BB 58, SO 112, HR 44, RBI 104
2nd half - .239 / .341 / .467 / .808 / 162 game pace BB 92, SO 152, HR 34, RBI 79

Those first half numbers were crazy, the 2nd half numbers over a whole season are still a bargain at $4,125,000 million

Looks like Doc may have been flying in a couple different ways on the day of his demise.
Sad.

Even though I'm a fan of Pillar's I wouldn't mind seeing him traded out with a CF that isn't a black hole of offense at the plate at times. Love his hi-light reel catches, but his bat just bugs me so much.

Why does the media even release stuff like this? He had prescription level Drugs in his system and people will make the jump that he was high when he was flying. Not fair to his family to have that floating out there if it’s not true.

Prescription drugs can still cause impairment. But nonetheless I agree there's no way one can come to any conclusions on this.

I went to his memorial today at the Jays fan fest and it was very touching.

If I understand correctly, according to the FAA, you cannot have any levels of this stuff in your system and be in control of an aircraft..

Its newsworthy.

Good. Vladdy Jr is about as good as it gets for MLB currency. If you're ever going to move him, it would be for a lot more than Yelich, though still a good player. Vladdy's ceiling is much higher.

I wouldn't have given up Bichette either. I Like Yelich but he's the guy you buy when you're trying to go from contender to favorite not from a maybe to contender.

The release of toxicology information is completely normal during any aviation accident investigation whether Roy Halliday or not (and whether fan's or family like it or not). We can almost be assured that the drugs in his system played no part in his demise. Roy's decisions, in terms of how he operated his aircraft are likely what got him. Icon seemingly promotes the insidious operation of the A5 on it's own website, this is likely not the last accident of this nature involving this type that we'll see unfortunately.
