So, do the people who felt it was "Paranoid" to think Hickey intended to go UFA still feel that way?

I am fine with it though. Falkovsky, Kylington, Ollas-Mattason, Kulak. We are still deep on LD. I am not crazy about Mike Smith though. Was realy hoping for our "Talbot" in Raanta.

While Johnston grew up in Calgary, his parents have a place in the desert. It's essentially his second home and he wants to be a starter, which should now be his crease to lose.

Must be confident Domingue won't be taken by Vegas, which seems reasonable.

Yeah, they'd have to protect Johnson and expose Domingue (just as the Flames would have protected one of the UFA goalies without this trade). Of all the goalies available to Vegas, Domingue probably isn't high on the list.

They might be able to convince Johnson he can be their starter next year.

Woah, that's kind of gross. Also considering we made the playoffs with unreliable goaltending this season too. I think the conditions should have been second round.
