Good to see the team battle back. This is the team we knew from last year. Keep it up boys.

I just don't understand why our PP is so bad, while our 5 on 5 is so much better

Wouldn't be surprised if he has some social anxiety.
Wasn't it said that he was quiet and kinda distant in the Boston? It was probably multipled without alot of people his own age.

Can we just turn down power plays?
Seriously though, it's bad, and it isn't even moving in the right direction.

Or play the complete 2 minutes in your own zone to kill time....and try to go to OT for 3 on 3

It's a SN Flames broadcast. I can only see it because I have gamecentre live and it's blacked out in ON on Sportsnet. Literally nobody on regular Cable outside of the region saw that story hahaha.

I was on nhl numbers to see if Raymond was back next year. He is. Then I noticed 2 or 3 names on the Stockton team I'd rather see instead of him
Shore, Hathaway, Arnold and maybe ever Poirer.

But no panel. Liked the story but I guess the panel was too busy praising the Oilers to even look at this game.

I have a theory. The Flames game is based on quickness and mobility. Lots of our top players are very good at making people miss in close quarters and with limited time. We seem to read the fluid, crowded ice really well...almost instinctively. It seems like a more passive, static defensive structure takes away that instinctive, quick decision-making play and replaces it with an awkward "reading the ice" mentality. Maybe we need to focus on being faster and forcing the play more on the PP rather than waiting for things to setup.

Dougie Hamilton now has 6 points in his last 7 games. He's finally getting on the kind of roll you'd expect from a defender his caliber. He looks like a solution and not a problem.
He was just flat out brutal to start the year, and I'm just hoping that Dougie is gone for good. Likely a lot of adjustments for a young player in a new organization.
His reads lately have been much improved on both sides of the puck. He still needs more toughness but he's looking great.

Monahan looked so smooth and effortless coming down the wing and picking his spot for that goal. Guy has ice in his veins!

I am watching the Dallas feed. They just had a piece on the Nieuwendyk Iggy trade. I always love seeing Iggy's draft day video. The guy was always humble.

Just saw that as I posted it. Yikes. Just as I think Sportsnet is starting to redeem itself, nope.
