I'm surprised Chris Jones decided to shake Huff's hand this year!

the announcers pretty much blow their load talking about Sherrit, pretty tough play to lead with your head when a guy is down. what a star

Other then the turnover on the punt, the Stamps dominated the 1st half of football. To go into the locker room down by 9 points was really disappointing , and they were never able to overcome the deficit.

It scares me that Dickenson is the head coach next year.

Yeah if sherrit's hit wasn't the definition of helmet to helmet or leading with the helmet I'll eat my hat. Should be a fine at least.

Absolutely. I think that when your kick returner is fumbling three times its going to cost you the game.

Joe West had a stellar game, although in a losing effort. I often dump on him, but he gave me no reason today.

Eric Rogers: “We should've punched both of those in. We had four plays inside the five and you gotta at least run the ball once" #GCplayoffs

And for some reason - he will be Head Coach next year - almost cost them the Cup last year when he abandoned the run and today's debacle don't breed confidence

An uneven season ends with a disappointing finish.

With a healthy Cornish and a decent O-Line, I wonder if we don't see them run both of those in the TD's.

Edmonton was able to turn turnovers into points -- the Stamps have watched this movie several times in the playoffs.

Go REDBLACKS!

i did think Mitchell played well enough for the team to win, the turnovers and a horrid D performance held them back

I don't think the offense lost the game for the Stamps. I understand some people are upset with DD's decision in not running the ball on the two red zone plays but the first one would have worked if Parker hanged on to the ball on the end zone on the first one. He got that guy beat. The 2nd red zone I admit was questionable especially the first play. Not sure which receiver was supposed to catch the ball. We lost because the special team could not generate anything and Skye Dawson didn't help either. He lost the ball 3 times but only one of them counted as a fumble, which also cost us a TD against. I don't think Dawson will be back next season. For some reason Stubler's defense almost have problem against Reilly all the time. It doesn't help that they have to use Berger and sometimes have to rush with 3 DLine in some plays. Injuries finally caught up to Stamps. It is not an excuse but losing pretty much the entire OLine really hurts us. We played with 3 import OLine which I thought played well killed us with the ratio. Quinn Smith who usually play well as a DLine could not help the D because he is the backup OLine. Losing 2 DBs Fred Bennett and Joe Burnett didn't help because we ended up putting a rookie Evans and National Berger. Not sure why Campbell did not start as he played well the last two games he played. I didn't hear his name today. There was a lot of holes on secondary tonight and Reilly always looks like a genius against Stamps DB.
I hate to admit it but Eskimos are much better team tonight that's why they won. I can't stand losing to those idiots. Stamps lost because of too many turnovers, defense was awful and ref didn't help with their questionable calling or lack of. Oh well there is always next year.

Eskimos deserve full marks for winning as they were the better team yesterday but it's kind of a shame their coach and players are so lacking in class. What an unlikable lot.

Come on man they were decimated by injuries. Adam Berger was staring on corner which means the defense never had a chance as Reilly picked on him all day. He's a player that should never, ever see the field at corner in a CFL playoff game as he's one of those players that only gets to be on a professional roster because of his passport. The only chance they had was if they could get after Reilly and without Hughes in the lineup they just didn't have the horses.

Injury issues aside the turnovers were self-inflicted wounds as the Eskimos took much better care of the ball as the only way the Stamps had a chance was to win the turnover battle and they lost miserably in that department.

Injuries, weather, bone headed mistakes, plain old choking. It's always something with this team over the last 25 years.

I know I shouldn't complain as they do manage to win it all once in a while, but with how good they've been for so long they really should have won a lot more.

2013 West final was a tough one because the Stamps essentially handed the game to the Riders with 7 turnovers. As EE mentioned, yesterday's game featured a patched together O-line and the secondary was missing key players as well. That said, credit to the Eskimos for playing a good game and taking advantage of Stamps miscues. However, GO REDBLACKS, I want to see Henry Burris win another Grey Cup.

Yeah, agreed. They're like Seattle Seahawks cocky, it's disgusting. They're a good D, but nowhere near as good as the 2013 Seahawks D so maybe they should cool it with that a bit.

I'm actually surprised many seem so shocked by the loss, between all the injuries and the fact this one was in Edmonton, I figured the Eskimos would win. But just the way it went down is what's bugging me about it. Figured it'd be some 19-16 slugfest, not a shootout where the Stamps D completely disintegrated. I'm annoyed by all the passing calls with the goal line in sight, but I'm having a tough time pinning this one on the O when your opponent scores 45 and you break 30 yourself.

When you come into a game beat up and on the road like that, you NEED to win the turnover battle. 4 TO's - especially that one early on the return deep in their own zone that basically gifted EDM 8pts right at the start - pretty much has the writing on the wall that you're going to lose.

Just a sloppy, uncharacteristic game by the Stamps, which is why this one's bugging me so much despite me picking the Esks to win. And those cocky bunch of idiots on the Eskimo D, bunch of '13 Seahawks wannabes. And their DBag coach, that guy has a very punchable face in those trendy Ray Ban's. Oh please light them up Burris..

Another choke game. Injuries, etc., okay...fine. But this team has a reputation for choking in big playoff games (someone else mentioned the 2013 game, which was the absolute worst as we pretty much gave them the Grey Cup). Someone mentioned defense, well okay we let them put up 45 points, but if we finish those two drives (ON THE 3 YARD LINE) and get 2 point conversions we can still win 47-45.

Just a choker team. Same old story with these guys for a while now: dominate in the regular season, disappoint when it matters. Hufnagel is an excellent coach but you have to wonder, given how well this team has done under his supervision during the regular season, why they consistently choke in the playoffs. Edmonton is a good team but we did beat them this season. And yesterday Stamps played as good of a first half as Edmonton did.

Choke? They were the underdogs. Edmonton was the better team winning 2/3 in the regular season including one on the road.

I totally agree in that both Wally and Huff left Grey Cups on the table but they really had no chance yesterday with that roster. Sure they added some gratuitous turnovers just to remind you the team isn't clutch but I don't look at this game like 2013 where they totally self destructed. Maybe Dickenson will infuse some fire into this organization as the team never came out of the gates this season with the hunger they had last season. It felt all season like the Eskimos simply wanted it more.
