I wish. Sportsnet is showing Windsor-Kitchener for some reason.

Nice.

The Wheaties had been slaughtering teams for a while now.

Would love to see them get upset.

Don't see it changing the eventual outcome of the series. I'd have thought there might have been a case of the Wheat Kings underestimating Edmonton. Doubt that happens in game 2. Good to see Pollock get some offensive help when the team needed it.

Dear me, pretty embarrassing that the Colts game had to be called off because of a power outage.

Wow seen that Brandon only had 3500 in attendance tonight. Seems awfully low for playoff opener on a memorial cup contender.

I always have wondered what would be better for a prospects development, a long playoff run or to get a taste of pro hockey to see what it's like and have an offseason to prepare for rookie year.

I'd probably go with the pro experience, especially if the kid needs to be humbled a bit. Probably no correct answer though.

Does it? Now, I don't know the local area over there, but the town only holds 46,000 people and they are in the middle on nowhere. 3,500 seems a decent proportion of their population, they aren't pulling in many from the outlying areas.

McDonald had a decent night for the Islanders, stopped 32 of 34 shots but they lost 2-1 to Rimouski.

Brett Pollock with the game winner for the Oil Kings over Brandon. They now have 3 straight games back at Rexall Place to pull off a huge upset.

Pollock with another goal as the Oil Kings beat the Wheat Kings in game 2, 2-1 and are up 2-0 in the series. What an upset that would be.

Just going by shot totals, it looks like the OK's goalie has stolen both games. Out shot 44-25 tonight, and it was same story last night too.

EDIT: Judas Priest you guys get a life lol

Oh and Kanzig got the only goal for the Hitmen in a 3-1 defeat to Red Deer and also got the 3rd star of the game. Karnaukhov also played for them.

I could swear that I read somewhere on here a tweet in which Pollock said he mostly played RW this year.

Freeway posted an article on Flames Nation where Pollock told Freeway that he had played RW for half the season.

So he has the versatility to play all 3 forward positions.

Thanks. That's a big plus for him as the Flames are short on RW-ers.

Barrie wins their first game 5-2. Mangiapane and Andersson had 1 assist each. Colts lead their series 1-0.

McDonald saved 36 of 40 shots in an OT win for the Islanders. The are tied at 1-1 in the series.
