The way things have gone, I wouldn't be surprised if Treliving somehow managed to snag a 3rd somehow. He's in the zone!

I wonder if he was one of the scouts guys. We've seen Tod Button speak about certain players he wanted set aside, wouldn't rank them, but slide them in when the mood of the draft felt right. This feels like one where the scouts wanted the guy so Treliving made it happen.

He owed them for yesterday anyways.

This is all nothing but crazy speculation of course.

I wish we could get even MORE picks. I feel so greedy even though the Flames are just killing it

If Kylington can show some of that promise that had him ranked as high as the top 15, we've got a steal. One of the best skaters in the draft.

This break in our picks gives Treliving time to sabotage Oiler trades and maybe steal Gibson away from Anaheim

What are the knocks on Kylington? Why did he slip so far?

And to think we pondered over Kylington so much. And then we end up with him in the second round. We could afford to do it after the Hamilton trade.

Dzierkals showed up at 91 on the ISS list and nowhere else. Interesting pick

I'd be happy with a cpl 4th round picks as well

Team seems to kill it lately in the 4th

I'm no expert but some of it seems that scouts didn't see the progression this season you would have expected for a top player.

Soft, hockey sense, game might not translate. Has tons of potential though

Heard he became a bit of a Youngblood too. Trying to make the fancy moves and great plays and not making smart decisions often

If we could somehow get Vande Sompel now too, that would amazing.

What a crazy couple days.
Flames enter the draft with 1 first, 3 seconds, and 2 thirds... leave with Dougie Hamilton, Rasmus Anderson, and Oliver Kylington.
