The biggest silver lining is there is zero chance the canucks get any closer to the cup, thanks to the Flames. Hell of a ride. Anaheim is in tough vs Chicago, they won't get that type of Reffing next series.

I am proud of our boys. Fighting till the end.

This season, they over came odds, built a team that brought itself closer together, overcame adversity and even picked up a lot of respect and fans league wide.

Other teams and fans took notice and more of them reacted in a supporting and positive way rather than the opposite.

I sit here holding back tears in my eyes and with a silly grin on my face.

Good job boys. I wish I could have clapped my hands in the hallway on your way to the dressing room and thanked each and every one of you for the season you gave us.

The Ducks are a good team and even better because of Getzlaf. He's a guy that I would be happy to have on our team, and I wish that Monahan can develop into a player of this caliber.

Hating Kessler & Perry aside, I wish Getzlaf and the Ducks luck against the Hawks.

Thank you Flames for a wonderful season. You've made this city proud.

The reffing in this game and series was atrocious...that call on Backlund was total bs.

You know it's been such an amazing positive season when about an hour after being eliminated from the playoffs, in OT no less by one of the leagues biggest super ######s, that sting is already gone and all I can think of is how exciting this year was and how positive I'm feeling for the future (not to mention proud of the guys). Usually would take days for the hurt to ware off after elimination and not half as many of the same feelings.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't upset. I am. I wanted the Stanley Cup.

That said, I've never been this proud of a Flames team in over 10 years.

I can not wait for next year! I see us being legitimate contenders next season!

I'll be pulling for the Ducks in round 3 because they're a great team and I hate Chicago.

The Flames lost to the clearly better team. The "let them cycle, we will hang back and block the passes and shots" that worked against the Canucks doesn't work against a team that can both cycle and crash the net, and against a deep team that can score from all four lines.

Getzlaf is a beast, and while I don't like Perry, he has a lot of game. Belesky was a surprise. And their D was better than I anticipated.

The last goal - Ramo was indeed hampered, but Wideman had broken his stick on Perry cross checking him down. Not surprised it wasn't called. Anyway, they were going to score the way it was going.

The Falmes have a bright future, they've learned how to win against a bubble team like th Canucks, and just learned what kind of team they will have to be (and beat) to go further.

Thanks to all the dedicated posters here who help keep some of us far away Flames fans imformed about the team. The write ups, the pre game, the media posts, the timely gifs, the videos, and just sharing the ups and downs of this season have all been great. I'm already looking forward to next season.

Onto our next problem. We have too many NHL ready players and not enough spots for the 2015 Calgary Flames

Gaudreau, Monahan, Hudler
Bouma, Backlund, Jones
Ferland, Bennett, Jooris
Raymond, Stajan, Colborne
Wolf, Granlund, Shore,
Bollig, Reinhart, Poirier

Giordano, Brodie
Russel, Wideman
Shlemko, Engelland
Wotherspoon

Hiller
Ortio

Ramo in those final moments make me feel so sad.
Kinda sums up how all of us felt as it settled in.

Makes me hope the Flames keep Ramo over Hiller. If both were able to come back next year, great. But if its a choice...Please bring back Ramo!

I'm heading out to work, so just have time to say, thank you for a wonderful season. I'm proud of this team and I hope that despite the disappointment they are now feeling that the team look back on this season with pride for the rest of their lives.

You don't always need the Cup to be a winner.

What a fantastic season to watch. Really pleased with everyone on the Flames this year. All-pro's and all heart. Not much more you can ask for.

Ducks are geared for the cup this year. Never been much of a fan of them but they earned their way to the WCF.

Thanks CP community too for providing a splendid place to share all thoughts on Flames.

Off-season fun cannot come soon enough. Draft, UFA, prospects camp, main camp..... Exciting! 365 days a year!

If there wasn't a Flames stick under Ramo's glove on one of the cover up attempt, it would've been covered and should've been called. But he couldn't get his glove down all the way down, and then Perry, the war amp, somehow managed to gain enough strength and courage to shove his (likely illegally bladed) stick in there as well. And then somehow, his amuputed leg survived the dog pile celebration after.

Say it again, glad the refs didn't fall for his embarrassing theatrics earlier in the game, looking to draw a major on Stajan.

Never saw a replay of that big OT save...but that was Vernon v Stan Smyl like from 1989, given the half breakaway Belesky from the blueline on that angle, moment before the puck went in. Glad that Ramo was emotional and that he really didn't give a crap what Hartley was telling him.

Props where props are due, he's an amazing player.
I'd rather have Giordano, with him we win the series
