Well Calgary has 1,200,000 people so most Flames fans are outside the Dome. I would imagine being in close proximity to the Saddledome, would have no bearing on where fans decide to party. It would most likely have to be in a densely populated area, with an abundance of bars and restaurants.

I always loved the Kensington Village. The fact that there isn't nearly as much traffic in the area as opposed to 17th SW, and many of the bars are on the Kensington Cres loop would make it appealing.
