Niether.
Bevell may have called it, but Carroll allowed it...which is even more baffling to me. 3 different guys could have checked out of that play....none did.

Congrats to the Pats fans on here. You guys had to put up with a lot from the media and opposing fans all season long. Enjoy it!

Just a theory on the play call -- with time winding down, an incompletion stops the clock? I think Seattle still had a timeout so even that doesn't make sense... Just perfect execution from the Pats defense. A "takeaway" if there ever was one...

83 literally bounced off of Butler -- he was not to be stopped on that interception.
Congrats to former Stamp Brandon Browner on his second straight Super Bowl ring.

This one probably means more to him since he was actually able to play. Love seeing ex CFLers get it done in the NFL

No way you'd let Seattle score to take the lead. Gotta try and make a stand.

I wonder what kind of controversy is cooking now. It seems like everytime the Patriots win, media will create a controversy.

Dan seemed to think Gronk had a ring already, pretty surprising error on his part

Would have a been a bitter loss either way. Bad call or fluke pass?

Will pop in here one more time before I attempt the long process to wipe this one out of the memory banks; congrats to the Pats fans on here.

If I were Marshall Lynch, I would be so ticked off and start throwing a tantrum. The guy almost scored running from a 4 yard line then suddenly the biggest play tonight, they ignored him and threw the ball??

Memories of the 98 Super Bowl -- Packers let the Broncos score with the ball on the one yard line. Packers were not able to come back.
Edit: how could I forget Ahmed Bradshaw's "accidental" go ahead touchdown -- Giants over Belicheck's Pats in 2012.
I agree the right call was to play defence -- it managed to work out for the Pats.

Man as Seahawk fan I just shake my head at the last call. Marshawn was carrying 3 guys on him all night and he was still moving the ball. Just down right stupid. That being said Seattle is usually shut down in the 4th but Brady took it to us for 14 points. Congrats to the Pats you deserve it well played. Congrats to Brandon Browner as well.
