It's like they took all the complaints from the first trailer and instead of attempting to address them, they just doubled down on the crazy.
The crowd surfing scene where she jumps in, falls to the ground and says "I dont know if its a race thing, or a lady thing......." is just calling on the hate. Painful stuff. The marketing team for this movie is never going to find work again.
Other than some of the cool looking effects and just the visuals of the neon against the dark night it just doesnt look like a good movie.
I'll likely end up in the theater with the wife to give it a watch but my expectations are currently so low they are lying on the floor.

The only difference in this trailer is that they upped the special effects, but other then that, and its probably more me then anything, Wig McCarthy and Jones are the same character in every single movie that they are in.
Wig is the socially akward mumbler in every movie that she has a starring role. I have to admit, I've liked some of her work in supporting roles where she isn't the main character. But other then that she's more annoying and 1 dimensional then funny
McCarthy plays the blustery but at the center insecure social outcast that is completely unlikeable but in the end shows her true heart or has a breakthrough. But she's not funny because she runs the same gags in every single movie.
Jones is the angry yelly blackwoman. There's nothing else to her.
And it shines through loud and clear in this trailer that basically rehashes jokes. Look she tried to crowd surf and the crowd let her fall . . . ho ho ho I haven't seen that before. Oh look Wig got puked on and mumbled, stop it my gut.
I look at trailers and because of the costs of movies where your taking a date and spending lets say $60.00 by the time its said and done, is there anything that makes me want to rush out and see it, or can I wait until its free on Shaw or Netflicks?
Flashy neon effects right now aren't enough and I don't see anything original or surprising about it.
It comes across in the trailer as too formula, too big studio, and especially three actresses who are rapidly approaching Jean Claude Van Damme, Steven Segal levels of please go away.

It's certainly a better trailer than the original, but now it looks like say Big Daddy instead of That's My Boy. Point is, it still looks like a crappy Adam Sandler movie, just one of the less crappy Sandler movies instead of the crappiest one.

You know, its kind of funny, for a while I could respect Sandler because on occasion he'd try to stretch himself in terms of the roles that he took and the character that he would play. But now he does it for the money, and he plays the same guy in every single movie.
Will Ferrell who I find incredibly unfunny because he plays the same guy more often or not has reached out and done some good work, but its rare.
Jim Carrey same thing, when he's not playing things strictly for goofs, he's taken on some really challenging roles and been very good.
It just seems like Wig, McCarthy and others don't want to do that.
Hey McCarthy we want you to play the same role in Spy as you did in Tammy and your other movies. Got my check . . .yup
Hey Wig, your best role was in the god awful Bridesmaids here are 30 scripts that could literally be sequels or prequels or whatever because you play the same role.
You Leslie, be angry and yell a lot . . . perfect.
You know who I really respect Sarah Silverman, because she's got huge range and she's really not afraid to go against type.

The thing is there are plenty of good female actors that could pull off this movie. Casting was just horrible for this, they put no effort in it at all.

Nah, they wrote this movie with these three in mind to me, This is their comedy dream team, then they probably wrote the script around them.

I'm not sure I've ever seen Wig, Mccarthy or Jones actually act. They just portray themselves in everything I've ever seen.

I thought That's My Boy was one of Sandler's better movie. Kind of going back to Billy Madison/Happy Gilmour type of days.

I call it the George Clooney acting method.
Every character that Clooney plays is literally him with a different name, but the same mannerisms, make really weird eye contact, look at the floor, have specific pauses between every third word.
You got this George, or now I'm going to ask a nonsensical questions where one isn't needed but it makes me look like I'm a kind considerate character . . . .
You know who I find is awesome is Matt Damon, because he goes out of his way not to play Matt Damon and he's different every time you see him.

And the thing is the Wiig, McCartney et al thing was fine. For a while. But they have to know that gets old pretty fast.

I read a leaked version of the plot a while ago, and I was hoping it wasn't true because it was so horrible. Unfortunately this trailer pretty much confirms that the leak was true. This movie is going to be a massive bomb.

I agree except for Burn After Reading and The Men Who Stare at Goats.
Although, ironically, those two performances are quite similar to each other.

The Vodka made it better.
Does anyone doubt that the Russians get soused in space? I dont.
That movie still sucked hard though.

Clooney being Clooney in all his movies works because Clooney is a likeable guy. Has he ever done the role of a villain? That would be interesting.

A fantastic movie. He is still very much "Clooney" in that film though.
That scene is one of my favorites in all of movies.

Batman & Robin, depending on how you look at it.
