I wasn't quite sure about what a sgt at arms was, so I looked it up. Wikipedia was already updated

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serjeant-at-Arms

Canada[edit]

See also: List of Sergeants-at-Arms of the Canadian House of Commons

The Sergeant-at-Arms is the senior official of the Canadian House of Commons. In this role, the sergeant-at-arms is responsible for the building services and security of the House of Commons, and is appointed by the Governor General acting on the advice of the Federal cabinet. The sergeant-at-arms carries the mace, the symbol of the authority of the House, in the daily parade into the House of Commons chamber. The current Sergeant-at-Arms is Kevin M. Vickers. On October 22, 2014 Mr. Vickers shot dead a gunman in the Parliament's Centre Block. Provincial legislative assemblies, houses of assembly, national assemblies, and provincial parliaments (the nomenclature for legislatures varying between provinces) also employ sergeants-at-arms for similar purposes.

Edit: retracting this. Still not sure on the soldier's condition.

Will wait for either CBC or CTV confirmation on the condition of the soldier before posting anything further.

Unconfirmed reports that he has passed.

Mansbridge now citing Jason Kenney's tweet saying the soldier has died, but I'm still not sure.

Ottawa Hospital will not comment on the status of the soldier, (states the other 2 are in stable condition), and defers comments to the DND.

- according to CBC

Confirmed by Jason Kenney.

Hospital refusing to provide update on him; redirecting inquiries to Department of National Defence.

Jason Kenney ن @kenneyjason
Condolences to family of the soldier killed, & prayers for the Parliamentary guard wounded. Canada will not be terrorized or intimidated.
