i need to read about this
edit: nevermind, found the article:

also found gem on riderfans.com

So let me get this straight, one jackhole Rider fan dumps manure on our kickers lawn and our entire fanbase is branded for years. Last week Rob Maver receives letters of hate mail and there is no mention of this in the media or from fans nationwide. It's kinda like Vancouver sports fans getting pissed off and ridiculing us for throwing a few beer cans at the Lions bench, way worse than burning cop cars, looting stores, and destroying their own city.

I'm not gonna lie, I hit RF.com for some good laughs.
They like to talk about Rider wins over the Stamps in WCF's. And "championships". But they fail to acknowledge that the Riders have won the least number of grey cups and have the worst grey cup record. It's mind blowing.
However Area51 is perhaps THE best poster in the history of the interwebs. I can't figure out if he's serious or he's just playing up this persona of a drunk, oxygen deprived, backwater Rider fan. Some Stamps fun have some fun with him.

No doubt, Area51 sees the word 'Calgary' at RF.com and it's like a moth to a flame. I don't know if he's serious or 'in character', but he definitely sticks to his convictions. The latest is Bo Levi Mitchell's arm strength (mediocre according to A51). He may not possess a cannon like Smilin' Hank, but few guys do. As BLM says, the only thing he's concerned with is the win-loss record.

I'm pretty sure that guy isn't a Riders fan but is on there because his brother (Foley?) plays for them. Wasn't he banned from other CFL boards (for good reason). The guy makes no sense

Yes. He claims to be Foley's brother. Maybe he is. I haven't really followed that story too closely. He sure sounds like a Rider fan.

I missed the game so I have no idea what was said to cause this controversy.

That will never happen, the administrator over there condones that activity and even actively joins in at times.

Unfortunately I believe a few of them are serious. If you have ever been to small town Saskatchewan you would see that amongst some of the good farmer people that Canada has their own version of the stereotypical US southern Redneck. A lot of the others are simply just spiteful and angry probably because they live in Saskatchewan.

what would it take for the Stamps to clinch a playoff spot? this might be shaping up to be maybe the earliest we can clinch if the stamps keep winning and east keeps losing
Would Stamps clinch if [Stamps wins > (3rd place east team's wins + remaining games)]

Not necessarily, because we could finish better than the 3rd place team in the east, but still finish 5th in our division (thus missing the playoffs). Infact, I think it's safe to say at this point that the 5th place team in the west will have more wins at the end of the season than the 3rd place team in the east.
The formula for magic numbers is generally expressed as Games Remaining (18) + 1 - Stamps wins (9) - Bombers losses (5). So our magic number is 5 (combination of Stamps wins or losses by the Bombers). Although, sweeping the two remaining games against Bombers would be enough (2 Stamps wins, 2 Bombers losses, plus winning the tiebreaker which drops the MN another game.)
This comes into effect ONLY if we finish 4th in our conference, but our magic number for winning the crossover is:
18 + 1 - 9 - 7 = 3 (Combination of 3 Stampeders wins and 3 losses by whatever sad-sack eastern team finishes 3rd)

Is there a reason why we're only dressing 6 OL? Versus 13 backs and receivers?

Yep. Not sure what it is but it's only minor. Mace and Buddy Jackson are on a one game injured list.
