I think the fact has he's from 2 seconds in the future hurt his chances of being a good PBP guy.

Not saying he probably doesn't have these characteristics, but it's clearly a schtick...I for one find it pretty amusing. I find Boomer and whoever the other guy to be kind of pathetic in the way they try to make fun of him and pretend they are unimpressed - it's pretty obvious that they are still star#####ers and would probably volunteer to help him move or do some other favour before he even asked.

So is there actually any truth that Kerr is going to be let go from SN as the PBP or is it more wishful thinking. Several PBP guys will be available next year.

I dont know, but if you listen to Quinn and Debrusk the Oilers have only narrowly missed out on winning the Stanley Cup the last few years.
Based on that I'd tend to guess that the team probably has a fair bit of influence.
