Are you really? Are you prepared to do something about it and not reward their bad behavior by voting them back into office? I hear a lot of people talk about how broken Washington is, and how these politicians are greedy jerks looking out for themselves, but when election time comes around they vote their greedy jerk back in to represent them again. The problem isn't their greedy jerk, its all the others! The only way this stuff changes is if people get educated on the issues and vote based on issues rather than ideological hot issues that have no impact in the big picture.
It would be interesting if we just didn't show up instead of voting for "the lesser of two evils".
No it wouldn't. There would be a 5 minute story about decreasing voter turnout and the rest of the hour would be spent talking about who got more votes than the other guy.
The only thing that would change the system is if there was a legitimate 3rd party. And people are very scared of 3rd parties right now after seeing Ross Perot giving the election to Clinton and Ralph Nader giving the election to Bush. Even on a local or state level, people are afraid that a vote for a third party will result in their least desireable candidate being elected.

In other words, the story of out-of-control debts and deficits is just plain wrong. Less polite people would call it a lie, but it stands at the center of the public debate because the media consider it rude to point out a truth that would embarrass so many important politicians.
The media needs to be much stronger, get rid of pundits and party recomendations and go all Newsroom on everybody. Point out Hypocracy and Idiocy and outright lies and every turn. Go to war with lies and half truths.
The real driver of any change though will be the republican party primaries for the House seats. If the republicans decide that more reasonable members need to be elected then that will dirve change. In fact in Gerrymandered districts all democrats should really join the republican party so that they have a meaningful vote and vote for the most liberal candidate. Kind of like how I join the PC's in alberta for each leadership race.

You can't have journalism in for-profit media. The two are mutually exclusive.
The same people that bankroll corrupt politicians are the ones advertising on CNN.

Aww look. Ted Cruz borrowed Rick Perry's "Aw shucks, I'm just a simple southern country boy who believes in faith, the flag, the American way, and I just finished mucking out mah barn" jacket. Isn't that sweet? They're borrowing outfits from each other now.

CALL & YELL AT A RANDOM MEMBER OF CONGRESS
Your phone number will be used only once to connect you to a Member of Congress. (By providing my phone number I certify that this is my phone number and I expressly authorize Revolution Messaging to contact me using automated means of communication).
She's also pretty cute too!

Stupid. People should be calling and yelling only at the Tea Party morons who are the cause of this, not a random rational, sane member of Congress.
Oh come on, you don't think it's funny to have any senate or congress members voicemail full of drunk angry messages? As I completely blame the republicans for this current s***storm we see today, the entire system is broken, every senator and congressman is bought. May as well have some fun with it.
