I think that Hayden probably won the $100,000 best player award for that move.

A Ciera-Laura final 4 could be interesting. I don't know how strict they would or could be in no sharing on this season but to help ensure one of them wins it all they may almost want to vote each other out.
And there would be absolutely nothing stopping them from doing it if they reached the final 4. If they don't win immunity they vote for each other and one of them guaranteed to go to jury or if they win immunity they could give it to one of the other contestants and one of them guaranteed to go jury.
But because of that, unless Laura is eliminated from Redemption Island, Ciera has to be a super huge threat...along with Tyson, Hayden and whoever comes back from Redemption Island.
Pretty much Gervase and Monica have a free pass to the finals and whoever sits next to them is the winner.

I wouldn't be surprised.
It's a fan vote and Hayden is a likeable guy, he has a fanbase that extends beyond survivor (Big Brother Fans), he's popular in the reality competition show community (so I would assume he'll get a lot of social media push from Brenchal and the like), and now that he's had a couple of epidodes showing him playing hard he'll have a Survivor fanbase as well. I think Laura M. has a shot at the Sprint award as well.
Really that was an amazing push by Hayden. It's actually rare for someone to convince a voter to change their vote at tribal council but to convince a voter to change their vote where the best case outcome was a tie and a chance that they would then go home (while you'll be safe)... unheard of.
At this point it's obvious that Monica and Gervase are content playing for 2nd place and won't turn on Tyson (or each other). The game for Hayden/Ciera/Returnee from Redemption is simple... win out or go home. Gervase really should have made that move, it should be obvious to him that he's getting all the betrayal blood on his hands that Tyson is but that Tyson is getting all the gamer credit. He'd have an argument to make against any two other competators... He's the Dawn to Tyson's Cochrane.

So does the winner from redemption return next episode? Because in the first one Andrea returned when it got whittled down to five, and then was promptly voted off. But this season if Laura makes it back in, things could get really interesting.

Didn't Andrea come in at the start of the finale? They had it down to 4 going into the finale, then the winner of that redemption island challenge got to come back in.
Or am I remember this wrong.

They could... but that's why I think Ciera goes next (barring immunity or her mom losing).
You have to think that Tina and Laura are bonding on R.I. so you gotta figure that Ciera will have her Mom's vote, Tina's vote, Katie's vote a strong likelihood if Laura is campaigning for her to them... Caleb calling out Gervase and Tyson is a strong indication that she might have his vote as well. The same likely holds true for Laura if she makes it back.
No way are Gervase/Tyson/Monica going to risk letting someone with that many potential locked in votes come one immunity win away from sitting there at finale night.

Well, that was a shame. Not unexpected, but a shame. Katie never was good at any aspect of survivor, though.
Still, filled out a bikini nicely.

Whew, big sigh of relief tonight. Hopefully Tina wins at Redemption, then they can vote out her and Ciera back-to-back. With the way the jury is there is no way any one of Ciera or the returnee won't win the title imo. So they need to go next. Final four will likely determine who wins, Tyson, Ciera, or whoever returns.

Monica did the dumbest move possible by voting with her alliance. She could have gone in front of the jury in a better position if she would have made the move to vote Gervais out. She could have stood there and stated that she made a big move and won a bunch of immunity challenges. I think that if the final three is Tyson, Gervais and Monica that its a unanimous vote for Tyson.
On the other hand an obvious move was really missed by Ciera tonight. She should have given her immunity to Haydon and Gervais would have been going home as the Haydon votes wouldn't have counted, and Gervais is physically worthless in the challenges.
I can't believe that wasn't played or that Hayden didn't think of that, they knew he was going to get the alliance votes.
I can't keep thinking for these people.

Thought Monica was going to flip for sure. Give credit to Ciera and Hayden, they tried their best. But if Monica did flip and Laura came back in the game Monica would have been #4 in that alliance, she stays at #3 and can at least plead her case with Gervais and Tyson. I don't think she had much of a choice. Tyson should win, he's in control and can still play his hidden immunity idol. If he gets in front of the jury he's in good shape.

I'm not sure if they even do that anymore. Probst used to ask before every vote, but he doesn't do that anymore. Maybe they just eliminated that option from the show.

I don't know if that's true I tend to remember one tribal where the immunity was handed over after the voting

Bingo. No matter who came back in the game Monica likely still would have been #4 in the alliance. This way she guarantees herself a spot in the final three, and has a remote chance at winning with the jury's hate towards Tyson and Gervase. Although she would have had an even lesser chance against different competition.

I am sure that still happens, but either they edit it out, or maybe Probst just knows when it might come up.
Oh and good on Tina for taking her daughter out of the game. I thought for sure she'd dog the challenge once Laura mopped the floor with them, and give Tina the second spot. That was pretty cold blooded imo.

The Hidden Immunity Idol can be played like that, the one Tyson has in his pocket. Parvati once handed out two during one tribal one night after the votes.
The Immunity Necklace Ciera won in the challenge can only be given away before the vote and the person wearing it simply can't be voted for. I think the last person to do it was Erik and he was voted off so I don't think anyone bothers giving it away anymore.
