I've thought Bowmeester has looked pretty solid from the bits of the games I've seen. Last night (Game 3) especially.

Also - how's Regher looked? I noticed him a bit last night - but not really the type of player you notice in highlights of other games. Comments?

Also wanted to comment on what posters where saying with respect to these games really showing how far off the Flames are. Thing about the playoffs is they bring out the absolute best of the players. How many people thought the 2003/04 Flames could compete like they did prior to those playoffs starting? That's the thing about playoffs - most people tend to step up and play a lot better. That said, the really good teams step up too. I don't think the Flames are that far off in terms of talent or players but more in strength, size, and experience. Well, that's not true. I think they're not close on talent or players but it's the latter three that would be more vulnerable than the first two.

Regher has been paired with Doughty. Seems to be getting a lot of trust from Sutter and doing quite well.

Regehr is skating faster than I expected. He's doing his job, giving Doughty a little space to try and make plays. He's not taking risks and getting in to trouble. That said, he doesn't quite replace Mitchell but I think he was the best option out there and has definitely benefitted the Kings defense.

This series is so crazy, there is so little space on the ice, whichever team takes it will win by a hair.

Regehr being slow was a myth. For some reason people wold just look at him and think, "big, strong, defensive defenseman. Must be slow."

He has a long powerful stride and can keep pace with some of the best skaters in the league if he times himself properly.

People saying Regehr was slow and done was their way of justifying getting bent over in the trade. IMO

Darryl Sutter hockey really only works for one playoff run.

Not really, they're just playing a team that might play Darryl Sutter hockey better than Darryl Sutter's Kings.

When or if the Blues win a Cup you can say this.

3-2 Blues. Mark Lee doesn't exactly have the most exciting call in the game.

Elliott has been the difference this period. The blocker save on Stoll was especially good.
